I appreciate Background Removal for its capable bulk-processing feature, which lets us upload dozens of e-commerce product images at once to generate base cutouts quickly. This feature drastically reduces the manual tracing work our retouchers previously handled and allows our team to focus more on fine-tuning color and lighting. In particular, it really helps during high-volume e-commerce photo deliveries, like our apparel-brand project, where we processed over 70 garment photos all at once, freeing our team from repetitive tracing work. Background Removal struggles with fine, complex details such as translucent fabric and loose garment threads from our apparel‑brand shoots. It often leaves jagged edges or incorrectly erases parts of the subject, requiring manual retouching fixes. The tool also lacks native integration with our cloud photo‑asset library, so every processed image needs manual downloading and sorting. Since our studio has no dedicated IT staff, we cannot build custom automation workflows.
