"Secure, Scalable Traffic Routing with Azure Application Gateway"

4.5/5

What do you like best about Azure Application Gateway?

Azure Application Gateway has a built-in firewall to help stop attackers and hackers. It can route traffic based on the URL, and it also handles encryption to keep security as strong as possible. Overall, it feels very reliable and scalable, and it can autoscale based on the load. We have been using it since long and all our workloads are on Azure Cloud itself. Azure Application Gateway helps us in managing our security posture. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Azure Application Gateway?

There are a few disadvantages to keep in mind. First, it works only within a single, specific Azure region. Second, the cost of using the service can be high. Third, the initial setup takes some effort. Finally, it’s designed only for web traffic, which limits its use in other scenarios. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Azure Application Gateway solving and how is that benefiting you?

It mainly solves our security problems, such as SQL injection and XSS, by adding its WAF component. It also blocks hackers at the edge of our network. In addition, it checks the health of the servers to confirm whether they are down or not. Finally, it has the capability to manage multiple sites and paths under a single IP.
