What do you like best about AWS Transfer Family?

What I like most about AWS Transfer Family is that it lets organizations securely transfer files using familiar protocols such as SFTP, FTPS, and FTP, while still leveraging AWS storage services behind the scenes. It removes the burden of managing file transfer servers and offers smooth integration with S3 and EFS.

Because of that, it’s especially helpful when working with external vendors, partners, or legacy systems that continue to depend on traditional file-transfer methods. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about AWS Transfer Family?

The service is quite specialized, so it delivers the most value for organizations with clear file-transfer requirements. What problems is AWS Transfer Family solving and how is that benefiting you?

AWS Transfer Family helps address secure file-exchange challenges between cloud environments and external systems.

For example, in a data engineering workflow, external vendors can upload CSV and clinical data files via SFTP. AWS Transfer Family stores those files directly in S3, where event-driven pipelines can automatically trigger Lambda and Glue jobs for validation and processing.
