Integrating AWS S3 Objects with Alation proved to be a valuable addition to our data ecosystem. It streamlined the process of discovering and understanding data stored in our S3 buckets, fostering better collaboration and enabling more efficient data analysis within our organization. One of the challenges I faced was the lack of real-time data synchronization between AWS S3 Objects and Alation. Although Alation performed an initial scan and cataloged the metadata of the objects in the S3 bucket, it did not automatically update the catalog when new files were added or existing files were modified within the bucket.
