"Fast, Simple Button Workflows with AWS IoT 1-Click"

What do you like best about AWS IoT 1-Click?

We previously used AWS IoT 1-Click for simple button-triggered workflows. AWS discontinued the service in December 2024, and we now implement equivalent functionality using AWS IoT Core, AWS Lambda, and standard IoT devices.

AWS IoT 1-Click made it extremely easy to connect physical buttons and simple devices to AWS without requiring complex device provisioning. For lightweight event-driven applications, setup was fast and the developer experience was excellent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about AWS IoT 1-Click?

The service supported a relatively limited device ecosystem and wasn't intended for large-scale IoT deployments. Following its discontinuation, organisations needed to migrate to more flexible IoT Core architectures. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is AWS IoT 1-Click solving and how is that benefiting you?

IoT 1-Click simplified rapid prototyping of event-driven workflows.

Example: Wireless buttons triggered Lambda functions that created maintenance tickets, sent SNS notifications, and initiated Step Functions workflows.
