What do you like best about Amazon EC2?

I love that you can pay as little or as much as you want to gain the resources you need for short term or long term projects, lessening the startup cost for any new project. EC2 services are also highly integrated with the AWS cloud environment as a whole, streamlining access to s3, and other key resources. Efficiency is a big plus! What do you dislike about Amazon EC2?

It is somewhat complex to start a network environment, you really need to plan first before you start creating an instance. There are some odd costs as well relating to networking that can really catch you off guard if your application transfers a lot of data in and out of the environment.
