What I like most about AWS Compute Optimizer is how it analyzes resource utilization and turns that data into clear, actionable recommendations for optimizing cloud infrastructure. It helps pinpoint overprovisioned and underutilized resources, so teams can adjust capacity to improve performance while also reducing costs. What do you dislike about AWS Compute Optimizer? The recommendations should be reviewed carefully before implementation because business requirements, future growth, and workload characteristics may not always be reflected in historical usage data. AWS Compute Optimizer solves cloud cost optimization and resource rightsizing challenges. Example: In our AWS environment, Compute Optimizer identified EC2 instances that were consistently underutilized and recommended smaller instance types. After validating workload requirements, we were able to reduce infrastructure costs while maintaining application performance. We also used recommendations for EBS volumes and Auto Scaling Groups to improve resource utilization and reduce unnecessary spending.
