## Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud) Reviews
 ### 1. ACC Forma removes the delay from the GC's world of "requests" via AU's phenomenal platform !!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kerrie S. | Project Mgmt Assistant, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 16, 2024

**What do you like best about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?**

As a daily user of ACC, I really appreciate being able to connect with my general contractors at any time about RFIs, submittals, issues, and drawings uploaded to the cloud.

It’s also a huge time-saver to add members to a project, assign them a role with the right permissions, and have them immediately gain access to drawings and request statuses without much waiting.

Overall, ACC has reinvented the AE platform by enabling real-time sharing with a professional experience.

**What do you dislike about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?**

As we extend our use of ACC Build in the areas of specifications and submittals, I’d appreciate the option of a chatbot, a text-based help line, or a direct connection to a help desk person who can provide immediate answers to questions related to specs, rather than having to send an email and wait for a reply.

I’m also looking forward to more information on when the submittal module will have more flexible permission settings within the module, so that only the members you want to have access to the activity log and uploads are the ones who truly have access.

**What problems is Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The challenge of giving clients a modifiable way for general contractors to enter their own RFIs within the module has been streamlined with excellent options that are managed by the administrator. This approach adds flexibility for mediation and modification, improves speed, and provides access for many stakeholders at the same time. It has been a real game-changer, and I’m looking forward to seeing these same opportunities implemented in the submittals module. The added ability for members of different disciplines to include other members of their team at the same step in a submittal is a move in the right direction, and it’s also a great enhancement to the reviewer role within the ACC Build RFI & Submittal platform.

 ### 2. Biggest pros - Performance (AI) and ease of use

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mira B. | Architect, Architecture & Planning, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?**

I particularly like Forma’s browser-based interface. It feels very fluid and clearly improved. Generating and adjusting 3D volumes is intuitive and fast, which saves time for the design team. The “Send to Revit” option is also pretty cool. Another feature I appreciate is how you can present performance data (for example, sun exposure); it makes for visually pleasing client presentations and is especially useful for non-technical stakeholders.

**What do you dislike about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?**

I find that, although the interface is very intuitive, it still takes quite a lot of time to learn some of the advanced features. From a cost perspective, I would say it’s necessary to have another licensing option for secondary stakeholders, or for those who are only going to review the model.

**What problems is Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The most important measurable benefit is time-saving. Modeling is quite faster. Coordination between disciplines is even more controlled and identifying colisions early on saves a lot of late stange changes.

 ### 3. Will pay for itself in saved time alone

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shane G. | Director Of Technology, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 27, 2024

**What do you like best about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?**

The best part is how easy it is to share models with consultants—just a few clicks and it’s done.

**What do you dislike about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?**

Some permissions are lacking. It would be helpful if we could grant access based on a company name. It seems like this might be possible, but in the end, all individuals still need to be project members.

In the Design module, the three dots in the drop-down menu aren’t intuitive, and users often overlook them and the information hidden behind them.

I also struggle with consultants who still insist on dragging and dropping models to the cloud instead of publishing them.

It’s difficult to work with consultants who operate on their own network and then upload to the cloud for sharing. They end up having to rename their files every time.

**What problems is Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Model sharing has been a big plus for me, and model load times are noticeably faster since I don’t need a VPN when working remotely. I also appreciate the ability to integrate with Autodesk XR.

 ### 4. Unleashing Unparalleled Efficiency and Collaboration in the Construction Industry

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Swaroop R. | Buyer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 31, 2024

**What do you like best about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?**

Autodesk Forma has truly been a game-changer for me and my construction team. It gives us a centralized hub for all our project data, making it easier to collaborate and stay coordinated in real time from anywhere. The analytics features provide invaluable insights that help me make data-driven decisions and keep projects on track.

Between its mobility, seamless integration using Autodesk Connect, and time-saving tools, this cloud platform has made my day-to-day work much easier. It keeps my team connected, productive, and far less stressed throughout the entire construction process. Overall, it feels like a must-have solution for construction professionals who want to streamline workflows and deliver projects more efficiently.

**What do you dislike about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?**

One thing I will say, though, is that the platform can sometimes be a bit confusing with all the abbreviations and construction jargon it uses. As someone who's not super tech-savvy, it took my team a little while to get used to all the lingo.

But the customer support team at Autodesk has been absolutely incredible I have worked with them to automate multiple processes which has indeed. Whenever I've had a question or needed help understanding something, they've been right there to walk me through it, step-by-step. Their patience and expertise have really made the learning curve much more manageable.

**What problems is Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Autodesk Forma has helped our organization move away from inefficient, outdated methods involving excessive paperwork, constant emails with subcontractors, and difficulty tracking deliveries and drawings. With its centralized data repository, real-time collaboration tools, and clear visibility into project status and deliveries, this platform has modernized our workflows. It has eliminated the need for physical files, miscommunications, and guesswork, enabling a streamlined, digitized approach that has dramatically boosted our productivity and project management capabilities. We've leapfrogged into a much more efficient way of operating.

One More, important function which I have recently started to use is the

 ### 5. Fast, reliable, one source of information hub

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paul O. | BIM Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?**

I like the one stop type approach it is becoming, being able to use it instead or along with other software, it is quick to load, very useful for allowing non technical/site staff to view collaboration models. It can always be less expensive. Support is also very good with ACC guides, learning tools and near instant support. I have not yet used the AI side but look forward to using.

**What do you dislike about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?**

I feel there may be some systems that are duplicating such as transmittals and packages. I have also had too many notifications and the notifications manager should be more accessible and easier to use and understand. Every new project we set up, we have to go in and mess with these to ensure team members are not flooded with emails.

**What problems is Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Model coordination, clash detection and general model viewing has been very useful. We use this with contractors who we invite onto projects and it aids coordination and site issues before they become site issues. This is very useful as some team members are not revit users, but can use model coordination with very little guidance and we still have full control of what they are able to view through published and shared models. It has also given us ISO standardisation for folder structures and all projects are correctly set up.

 ### 6. Centralized Project Hub with Seamless, Real-Time Collaboration

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrew W. | Vice President of Construction, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?**

The thing I like most about Autodesk Forma is that it creates a central location to store all information and documents pertaining to a project in one place and the various modules of the program link together starting all the way in the preconstruction stage. All project team members are able to access the project and any updates made are reflected immediately in real time.

**What do you dislike about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?**

The thing I dislike about Autodesk Forma is that in order for your subcontractors to use the system to enter their own pay applications they must register for an account and learn how to use the system properly. Subcontractors must learn the various processes for each different General Contractor they work for so getting them on board can be difficult at times.

**What problems is Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Autodesk Forma helps solve the ongoing task of ensuring all subcontractors working on our projects are fully compliant and meeting all requirements for insurance, safety, lien releases, licensing, and more. The system is capable of tracking any compliance requirements needed and custom compliance items can be setup as well. This function helps us approve monthly pay applications for payment faster.

 ### 7. Centralized, Efficient Project Collaboration with a Few Connection Hiccups

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vinod L. | Project Support Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?**

I like the centralized access to projects and drawings offered by Autodesk Forma, which makes collaboration easy and ensures reliable version control, all within a single platform. The initial setup was relatively straightforward for our team, especially since we were already familiar with Autodesk Construction Cloud. I use it along with tools like AutoCAD and Autodesk Revit to create, review, and coordinate drawings across different stages of the project. I also appreciate how it solves the problem of scattered project data and poor collaboration by providing a centralized platform for managing projects and team communication. I would rate Autodesk Forma as a 10 out of 10 for its strong project collaboration and centralized data management.

**What do you dislike about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?**

One area for improvement in Autodesk Forma is its lack of offline access, as it requires a stable internet connection to view and manage projects. I know this can be achieved with Desktop Connector, but the system tends to slow down when Autodesk Desktop Connector is installed.

**What problems is Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Autodesk Forma to manage projects and collaboration in a cloud environment. It solves scattered data, poor collaboration, and version control issues, providing centralized project management, drawings review, and team communication.

 ### 8. Centralized Change Management and Reporting Powerhouse

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ken G. | Project engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 15, 2024

**What do you like best about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?**

I use the issues module a lot because it helps track all the changes of the project and manage the change situation. It allows me to create reports to see which issues affect our process safety management. With so many people working on each project, it is helpful to have all changes in one place, so they can be sorted and evaluated independently and together, ensuring they don't conflict.

**What do you dislike about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?**

I think if we had the ability to edit a PDF, like, if a PDF is uploaded to Forma, and have two people editing the PDF at the same time, that would be very helpful. It works fine for DWG's but to have that functionality on PDFs would also be helpful. Another thing we'd like is if we could show both people in a Microsoft Word or Excel document at the same time, similar to how Microsoft Office 365 does it, that would be helpful. We'd use it more if we were able to give read only guest access to our contractors *for free*.

**What problems is Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find Autodesk Forma provides a central place to keep all changes and updates for our drawings and models, eliminating confusion over official updates.

 ### 9. Easy sharing of mockups and visual coordination of conflicts

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mathieu V. | BIM Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?**

Facilitated sharing and visualization of models with stakeholders not working on Revit. Visual and automatic conflict management with the Model Coordination Module. Project administration with the invitation of external stakeholders to the company. The ability to choose which views are published and their content, to publish with or without a link. It would also be beneficial to be able to configure publications more easily than by going through sheet sets, then publication sets. As well as to define by default the publication with or without a link. Issues are easy to create and their navigation is smooth.

**What do you dislike about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?**

It is necessary to have an AEC license + a BIM Collaborate PRO license to resume collaborative model functioning, which seems to me the most interesting asset on Autodesk Forma. The choice of a specific folder for Coordination Spaces is somewhat limiting since it is impossible to change without recreating it. The deletion of elements remains a problem for the moment, even though it is planned in the Roadmap. Many applications are necessary and need updating, for example, Desktop Connector. Management of georeferencing is not flexible (impossible to publish coordinates), its modification involves downloading the models, modifying them, and publishing them again. For Conflict management in the Model Coordination module, a model that is not georeferenced initially and then georeferenced later sometimes fails to display conflicts in color code. Better integration of point clouds.

**What problems is Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The sharing of models for all professions, Architect and Technical Disciplines, as well as Sheets. No IT infrastructure needed, using only a browser.

 ### 10. Streamlined Project Coordination and Design with AI Insights

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Divyesh P. | BIM Leader, Consulting, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?**

I like all the features with AI capabilities in Autodesk Forma. Having everything on one platform, including design collaboration, design build, and the capability to work on RFIs in a single environment, is a great experience. It's also awesome to create site locations and view them on a 3D map, which can be achieved on the Forma side. The AI capabilities offer more options at the initial design stage, providing wide-ranging design and cost calculations, height restrictions, and setbacks on real 3D maps. These features help me make informed decisions and project the values and costs effectively. It's convenient to handle design build and coordination with ease.

**What do you dislike about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?**

Autodesk Forma still needs some improvements. I’d like more control over which features are enabled, especially within ACC—for example, the ability to turn off certain elements if we’re not using Fusion. The Desktop Connector also needs work, because trying to manage it through ACC isn’t very straightforward when you don’t want to log into other sites like Fusion. Also, our engineering team isn’t using Revit, and the cost of ACC Forma should be waived for the Site and Design collaboration online tools.

**What problems is Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Autodesk Forma for project coordination, design collaboration, and site information all in one platform, which is great for me. Its AI capabilities provide design options and project value insights, making the initial design stage more efficient.

 ### 11. Easy to Use and Straightforward to Implement for VDC/BIM Model Uploads

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel M. | VDC Lead, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?**

What we like most about Forma is how easy it is to use, and how straightforward it has been to implement across the company. Our primary focus was supporting VDC/BIM, and having the ability to upload a variety of project models so we can better support the field.

**What do you dislike about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?**

So far, the least helpful part has been using Build and not being able to view project information in the mobile app. We’ve worked around it by using a form to display that information, but it would be much more convenient to have a dedicated Project Information tool or button.

**What problems is Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Circling back to VDC. We are just starting a VDC division at our company and the one thing that's lacked by using a general contractor's project management tools is the access to models. Typically, the only models that get uploaded would be if the project was fully coordinated. By using Forma Build, we are able to upload any model and any view within said model for our field personnel to use.

 ### 12. ACC allows to manage the chaos on the construction site, although there is still much to improve.

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michał K. | Manager BIM, Projektant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?**

easy access to documentation and its security, convenience of comparing drawing versions, ease of document versioning (version history)

integration of ACC with other software is troublesome - I never know if the documents available through Autodesk Desktop Connector are up-to-date

ACC works very smoothly, the smoothness of browsing PDFs is impressive, but the problem is the "zoom limit" on large drawings, sometimes it's impossible to examine the details of the drawings

I feel that ACC licenses are quite expensive for the AEC industry conditions in Poland

Support, instructional videos, and Autodesk University are very helpful in accessing knowledge about ACC, but sometimes I miss explanations of individual options within the platform itself

I haven't used AI within ACC yet, I'm starting to feel a bit overwhelmed by the number of possibilities the platform offers. I don't know what AI is supposed to be used for on ACC.

ACC is becoming too large and complex for me, without improving the basic functions that work better elsewhere - e.g., Dalux

**What do you dislike about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?**

I am very bothered by the lack of global monitoring of Issues across all the projects I have shared. I miss emails that would remind me of overdue issues.

I am bothered by the constant switching of platforms from BIM360 to ACC to form - this causes a lot of confusion and often AEC employees are not fond of technology.

**What problems is Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Thanks to ACC, all participants in the construction process have access to up-to-date documentation. From marketing to the complaints and building maintenance department. This saves us a lot of time and costs.

 ### 13. Centralize Projects with Efficiency and Security

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gustavo U. | BIM Manager, Architecture & Planning, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?**

I like that Autodesk Forma allows me to use it as a common data environment with effective options for communication, collaboration, and project management. It's easy to track and format our documents, which helps avoid information duplication through versioning. I appreciate being able to define the privacy of each folder through easily manageable permissions on the platform, which is crucial since we handle sensitive information like budgets and contracts. I also like how it serves as a common data environment but with better tools for review and project management.

**What do you dislike about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?**

It would be good to be able to copy the types of reviews created from one project to another, since currently, if you create a review workflow in a project, it is impossible to copy it to another. This results in having to replicate them in all the projects you have ongoing, which takes time. Moreover, although for me, as a BIM Manager, the initial setup of Autodesk Forma is easy, for someone who is unfamiliar with the platform, they might not take full advantage of it.

**What problems is Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Autodesk Forma to centralize project management and facilitate communication and collaboration. It allows me to track and format documents easily, manage privacy permissions, and prevents errors thanks to versioning, reducing information duplication.

 ### 14. Efficient collaboration with potential for adaptation

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matthias H. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 10, 2024

**What do you like best about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?**

I primarily use Autodesk Forma for file storage, as this is the easiest part to switch over. The tools from Forma, such as reviews, greatly help in making work more efficient. The use of Forma is location-independent and possible on various devices, which is one of the biggest advantages for me compared to conventional file storage and workflows. I particularly appreciate the ability to apply naming standards individually and to manage large user groups through the permission system. Communication and collaboration between the office and the construction site are significantly simplified, as everyone works on the same platform and the exchange of information is facilitated. The clean and clear file storage supported by naming standards and the ability to limit overly long file names are also advantageous. I have experienced collaboration in Plant3D as one of the greatest improvements. The simple initial setup of Autodesk Forma was also a plus, with various aids available to adapt internal workflows to the tools.

**What do you dislike about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?**

The availability of various tools only in Data Management or only in Build often leads to confusion among users. For example, reviews can only be created and viewed in Data Management. However, if I am currently in Build because I needed photos, I can no longer find any reviews.

**What problems is Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Autodesk Forma facilitates communication and collaboration between the office and the construction site, centralizes information exchange, and improves file storage through individual naming standards and access control.

 ### 15. Aligns Stakeholders on One Platform with Strong Permission Control

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Omar w. | BIM Manager | ACC Implementation & Digital Delivery Lead, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?**

What I like most about Autodesk Construction Cloud is how it brings all stakeholders into one platform, so everyone is aligned and working on the same data.

From a construction perspective, it really helps in managing permissions, controlling access, and making sure the right people see the right information at the right time. That level of control and collaboration makes project management much more efficient and reduces miscommunication

**What do you dislike about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?**

What I dislike about Autodesk Construction Cloud is that some tools still have limitations, especially Forms.

The built-in form formatting is a bit restrictive, and there’s no multi-select option in dropdown lists, which can make data entry less flexible. There are also a few other small limitations that sometimes require workarounds instead of a smooth out-of-the-box experience.

**What problems is Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Autodesk Construction Cloud is solving the problem of fragmented communication and scattered project data across different teams and tools.

 ### 16. Comprehensive and robust platform for construction project management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Didier Raphael R. | Instructor certificado Autodesk nivel GOLD, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?**

What I like most about Autodesk Forma is that it provides a complete and integrated environment for managing construction projects throughout the entire project lifecycle. It is a powerful and robust platform, with tools specifically designed to optimize management processes and aligned with international standards.

**What do you dislike about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?**

I have not identified any significant drawbacks. The platform is very comprehensive, so new users may need a short adaptation period, but once implemented, it delivers a very solid and efficient experience.

**What problems is Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Autodesk Forma helps solve key challenges such as fragmented information, limited traceability, poor team coordination, and inefficiencies in project management. By centralizing data, processes, and collaboration in an integrated environment, it improves visibility, speeds up decision-making, and reduces errors throughout the entire project lifecycle. This benefits me directly by allowing me to work with greater control, efficiency, and confidence, while improving cross-disciplinary coordination and overall team productivity.

 ### 17. Streamlined Collaboration with a Steep Learning Curve

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Saad S. | BIM Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?**

I like the interface and ease of use for users. Data Management, formerly Autodesk Docs, has been the best solution to share, view, and review files, models, and drawings. I appreciate its ease of use for managing and updating versions to folder structures. The integration with Microsoft SharePoint for document management and reviews is also a strength.

**What do you dislike about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?**

The administrator interface and setup of projects can be quite confusing. It doesn't suit Alliance model contracts where you need multiple stakeholders using one central CDE and multiple account types for individuals. Also, the initial setup took more time than other products and the interface is confusing.

**What problems is Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Autodesk Forma for a Common Data Environment, which helps all stakeholders communicate and share information. It's great for data management, sharing, viewing, and reviewing files, models, and drawings, with easy updates to folder structures.

 ### 18. Versatile Tool That Keeps All Project Information Organized in One Place

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** ashley S. | Project Manager, Construction, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?**

The versatility of this tool and its ability to compile all my information in one place—whether it’s internal, from a subtrade, or from the project owner—are what I value most. Having everything in one place makes it much easier to stay organized and keep track of what I need.

**What do you dislike about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?**

I would like to see the Site Instructions as a section of build as there is no defined place to submit, respond, or action them.
I also think the "sheets" section needs a but of work as it is a bit clunky and not easy to navigate

**What problems is Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We utilize it to ensure all of the subtrades have all information. It is beneficial to us as a GC to hold the trades accountable

 ### 19. How's Forma Shaping Our Design Workflow

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sourav Kumar H. | Senior BIM Technician - UK Water, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?**

I used to spend days exploring site options. With Forma, I generate and analyze dozens of design alternatives in hours — wind, daylight, carbon, all at once. It's not just faster; it genuinely makes me a better architect.

**What do you dislike about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?**

Forma is powerful, but the learning curve caught me off guard. Every time I get comfortable, an update reshuffles the interface. And when my internet lags? The whole cloud-based workflow grinds to a halt. For a tool this ambitious, offline mode feels long overdue.

**What problems is Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Early design used to mean educated guessing. Forma changed that, I now run daylight, wind, and carbon analyses within the same tool I'm modeling in. No more switching software. Decisions that once took weeks now take hours.

 ### 20. Streamlined Collaboration, Some Stability Issues

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Luke M. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?**

I like Autodesk Forma for its hosted central models, where other disciplines can access, link, and publish updated versions. The model coordination throughout the lifecycle of the project is really helpful because it avoids clashes early on and allows for faster, more efficient collaboration. The initial setup was simple enough for our use case, which made getting started easy.

**What do you dislike about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?**

We tried using a cloud-hosted central model for our detail library, and it used to work and sometimes still does, but a lot of the time it will crash Revit when trying to insert view from file from ACC. When inserting views from file via a hosted central model on ACC, it will get to a point in loading the different views like a 70% progress bar, and then freeze up. The only way to get out of it is to force close Revit, potentially losing any unsaved work.

**What problems is Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Autodesk Forma for cloud storage of projects and collaboration with other disciplines, improving both in-office and remote collaboration. Hosted central models allow for access, linking, and publishing updated versions, ensuring model coordination throughout the project lifecycle to avoid clashes and enhance efficiency.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?**

What I like best about Autodesk Forma is how it brings together all the tools for sharing information in one platform, and how it’s tailored to the way information flows across the network of members involved in a design/construction project.

I work mostly in the Data Management Tool, but when ocasionally i have the need to use the Model Coordination tool, it has been really usefull. The set up is simple enough but sometimes can have trouble reading some models that are not cloud workshared. Also, the Filters feature make it easy to group clashes of the same kind, overall is a really big improvement from having to do this in Navisworks.

**What do you dislike about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?**

I work in Autodesk Forma on a daily basis, specifically in the Data Management tool. One issue I commonly run into is that I can’t copy entire folders. Sometimes I need to duplicate large sets of documents, but I have to do it manually because Forma’s Copy feature only works for single documents.

**What problems is Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I think Autodesk Forma is becoming more intuitive. Since it’s a complex piece of software, discovering all the uses and features of each tool has been a long-term task. Nonetheless, with the most recent updates, I’ve noticed it’s been getting a bit simpler to use.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jake T. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?**

I like the functionality and features of Autodesk Forma. It's great that everything is all in one place, which is super handy for completing projects in the field without needing to switch between different products. It's all in one app, which is exactly what we need during the construction process. The way our projects are set up allows us to access all the information we need for every single asset, which sometimes includes over 10,000 assets, each with its own supporting documentation, tracking, issue management, photos, diagrams, and drawings, all in one product. It's very, very helpful.

**What do you dislike about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?**

The iPad apps tend to be a bit buggy, and some functions never feel finished. This can cause problems in the field, especially for users who aren't comfortable with the systems. And often, if the user interfaces don't look or work right, it leads to frustration, causing them to stop using the app. There seem to be more bugs than expected for this level of product, which is disappointing at times. We also face straight-up errors where things won't load, and there have been server issues where everyone gets kicked out. Additionally, worldwide outages of Amazon affect Forma. There's a difference in UI between the web interface and the app, like different font appearances, which affects consistency. Specifically, when placing assets on a sheet, the border thickness varies between the computer and the iPad, leading to a messy look. Permissions are confusing and not always clear, making it hard to understand what each person has access to.

**What problems is Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Autodesk Forma to centralize all our project needs, replacing multiple tools and sources. It supports offline work on-site and real-time updates, offering comprehensive asset tracking, issue management, and documentation, all in one app.

I like the ease of use of the app once you get to know it. It takes some time to learn the ecosystems of Autodesk Forma, but once you do, it becomes very easy to navigate and find exactly what you're looking for. I appreciate how the app and web version are completely different, yet you can interact with both very easily. The app also stores data locally until you have a connection and then all the devices have access to them.

**What do you dislike about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?**

When purchasing Forma it would be great to have a couple of hours of training at least for the basics vs having to figure it out ourselves. Forms can be saved directly to files at the moment without needing to go through multiple steps which defeats the purpose of Forma. Forma is supposed to be easier to use, NOT create more work. The initial setup was also very challenging.

**What problems is Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Autodesk Forma to track project progress and stay organized with reports and forms. It reduces time filing documents and provides templates, saving us time on form creation.

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?**

I like being able to connect files between teams and in the cloud, and to access site photos based on their location on a map. Forma takeoff is also well integrated for pulling quantities from sheets in a way that feels similar to common industry methods. The model viewer is another strong feature, especially for people who don’t have CAD software but still need an easy way to view models.

**What do you dislike about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?**

It would be really useful to have a way to set favourite or priority projects on the Home tab. With so many tools and features in the software, it can be hard to know how to take advantage of everything. An optional tips window would also help—ideally a toggle that shows helpful hints at the bottom of the screen when you want them, and stays out of the way when you don’t.

Forma Data Management could also use better storage and handling for non-CAD files, especially PDFs and Microsoft 365 product files, including the collaboration aspects around those documents.

Finally, having access only to specific projects we’ve been added to can be irritating. I’d prefer options for a company-wide folder system so information is easier to find and manage across the organisation.

**What problems is Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It centralizes takeoff and construction management in a way that’s accessible to both office and site users, while also adding cloud storage and backup capabilities for CAD files.

Autodesk Forma is a great tool for coordination with some impressive features, and my colleagues believe the software is legendary.

**What do you dislike about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?**

In my view, importing assets could be made easier to work with because even though we use the template, it needs so much customization, and when it doesn't go well, it won't import the assets. I think if there is a way to make it easier, it would be good.

**What problems is Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Autodesk Forma to coordinate projects effectively, improve departmental coordination with clear options, and manage model coordination to find specific clashes, ensuring our team works smoothly on one project.

 ### 41. Seamless Collaboration for BIM Projects

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Salmanul F. | Senior Bim Specialist, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?**

I use Autodesk Forma as our centralized CDE environment for BIM projects and IDC/IDR workflows. I appreciate how it keeps all project-related files in one place while allowing multiple team members to work on a file simultaneously. I also like having the option to see the file activity history, which helps us retrieve a version of the file along every sync or save action. Additionally, the notifications sent to specific team members when a workflow is completed are helpful because they eliminate the need to constantly follow up with other disciplines about whether a file has been published. The initial setup of Autodesk Forma was simple for us, and I would definitely recommend it to others.

**What do you dislike about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?**

The Desktop Connector could be more reliable, as sync errors and freezing are common. When saving a CAD file, the way the priority is handled for syncing and updating other projects freezes. Additionally, there isn't an option to pause or prioritize individual activities.

**What problems is Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Autodesk Forma to centralize project files, enabling simultaneous multi-user collaboration. The file activity history lets me retrieve versions easily, and notifications reduce the need for follow-ups on project updates.

 ### 42. Streamlined Workflows and Exceptional User-Friendliness

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anthony C. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?**

I like the user-friendliness of Autodesk Forma. The Autodesk connector is a wonderful tool that ensures everything is synced properly, which helps our team to complete tasks quicker and more efficiently. There are fewer files being exchanged via rudimentary methods such as emails because everything is accessible to those designated via Autodesk Docs. The initial setup was easy, especially with the help of an Autodesk platinum partner consultant to familiarize our team.

**What do you dislike about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?**

I wish there was a way to open a file read-only and then check out the drawing after the fact. Too many times there’s been an instance where I’ve accidentally opened a file read-only, made a ton of changes and then had to copy everything that I fixed before closing and reopening that file as check-out. It’s not the end of the world but definitely something that is annoying. I think just allowing the user to check out a drawing file after it’s been opened as read-only is a good way to start. It can be done with double verification because often times people open a file read-only to intentionally not make any changes, but if sometimes changes are intentional, it’s nice to not have to jump through hoops to sync it.

**What problems is Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Autodesk Forma for a smooth AutoCAD Plant 3D workflow, solving offline issues by keeping files up-to-date with Autodesk Docs. It boosts efficiency by reducing file exchanges via email and ensures everything is synced properly.

 ### 43. Efficiency-enhancing with Small Improvements

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Martijn V. | BIM Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?**

I find it convenient that the project manager can view the Revit model from Autodesk Forma. It is also handy that the technicians on the construction site have the drawings and there are no loose drawings lying around. The approval procedures are good and useful for audits, and they provide assurance that everything on the construction site is approved. Setting up Autodesk Forma was easy, with help from Cadac. Additionally, I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to use it intensively.

**What do you dislike about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?**

The Specifications are not working well, there is still a lot to improve here. With specifications, it is very cumbersome to get all the data in correctly, too much needs to be filled in.

**What problems is Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Autodesk Forma to prevent forms and drawings from lying around on the construction site. It also offers convenient approval procedures for audits and ensures that everything is approved by the project leader. It is easy for the project leader to view the Revit model.

 ### 44. All-In-One Platform for all your project needs

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Juri P. | Entrepreneur, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 16, 2024

**What do you like best about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?**

I appreciate Autodesk Forma for its exceptional combination of user-friendliness and a wide range of features. I can manage everything I need on one single platform, including data storage, communication, scheduling, and meeting management. It keeps everything efficiently on one platform, which is incredibly helpful for managing project-related data.

**What do you dislike about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?**

Some extensions are still not fully functional. Editing word documents sometimes leaves them locked for other users. Meeting templates are still crude, as only higher level stuff can be saved as a template. I consider these minor nuisances.

**What problems is Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Autodesk Forma to manage a wide range of project-related data efficiently on one platform, including data storage, communication, scheduling, meeting management etc.

 ### 45. Versatile Tool with Continuous Improvements

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brenda B. | BIM Manager, Architecture & Planning, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?**

I use Autodesk Forma for the development, hosting, sharing, and collaboration on our A&E projects. I appreciate how this platform provides a single source for sharing and collaboration while allowing different levels of access and permissions. I really like the continuous development that Autodesk continues to provide for Forma. As a multi-disciplined team, it's helpful to have tools in Forma that support us from Design Development through Construction, and I see that these improvements have developed over time and with different versions of the cloud solutions.

**What do you dislike about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?**

Any connections that require the use of Desktop Connector continue to be something we are working to avoid. Desktop Connector continues to prove itself to be unreliable and incredibly unstable.

**What problems is Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Autodesk Forma for developing, hosting, and sharing A&E projects, providing a single platform for collaboration with various access levels. It supports our multi-disciplined team from Design to Construction.

 ### 46. A Powerful Tool for Smarter Design

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Binal L. | Technical Project Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?**

I appreciate how Autodesk Forma integrates seamlessly with the broader Autodesk ecosystem. It streamlines workflows between planning, design, and analysis, reducing friction and making collaboration across teams much more efficient.

**What do you dislike about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?**

Some parts of the interface and workflows could be more intuitive, especially for users outside of traditional engineering roles. There’s room for improvement in user experience.

**What problems is Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Autodesk Forma solves the challenge of making informed decisions early in design by integrating real-time data and analysis. It helps reduce inefficiencies and rework by improving collaboration and insight from the start. For me, this means faster workflows, better design choices, and more confidence in achieving efficient, high-quality project outcomes.

 ### 47. Comprehensive Project Management Platform with Seamless Collaboration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jørgen A. | Head of Quality and HSE, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?**

I appreciate that this tool offers a fully integrated project management solution, covering everything from design and engineering to procurement, construction, and operation—all within a single platform. I also value the ability to collaborate across different disciplines, with everyone working together in the same tool.

**What do you dislike about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?**

I am not satisfied with the design of the field tool in Build, as I find it lacking in user friendliness. From my perspective, there is a lot of potential for improvement, particularly in making the tool easier to use. It is clear that ACC was originally intended for engineers, and now there is an attempt to adapt it for construction or installation workers with the field tool in Build. However, the current design and layout still fall short of what is needed. I strongly believe that working closely with a user experience (UX) group could help make the field tool more intuitive and accessible for those who will actually be using it on the job. Here you can learn a lot from other softwares like Dalux, that has a much more intuitive user interface.

**What problems is Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It addresses fragmented processes and documentation by offering a single platform where all documentation can be managed together.

 ### 48. One of the Best Common Data Environments for End-to-End Project Delivery

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Behnam V. | Information Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?**

It’s one of the best common data environments on the market. It supports every stage of a project, from preliminary design through construction and cost management, all the way to handover and operations.

**What do you dislike about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?**

We don’t have granular administration controls by module or by tool. It’s basically all-or-nothing: you’re either a project admin or you’re not. That lack of role granularity really limits how we can manage the platform, especially at scale. Also, there are many different data regions which cannot be linked (bridged) together.

**What problems is Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It definitely provides real-time information and a single source of truth, which helps improve communication and supports better decision-making.

 ### 49. All-in-One Solution with Stellar Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bret W. | Director - International Projects, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 26, 2024

**What do you like best about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?**

I really like that Autodesk Construction Cloud provides a single source of truth and an all-in-one platform. Having everyone work on the same platform, including consultants and contractors, makes collaboration so much smoother. It's great that I can quickly locate, access, and utilize documents and data without the hassle of managing multiple storage spaces. Plus, the Autodesk support team has been tremendous during the transition phase.

**What do you dislike about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?**

AI-assisted plan reviews need improvement. I need better workflows for ASI type documents.

**What problems is Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Autodesk Construction Cloud for design and project management collaboration. It provides a single source of truth, consolidating storage spaces, allowing everyone, including consultants and contractors, to work on the same platform. Documents and data are easily located and utilized.

 ### 50. Streamlined Collaboration, Needs Better Product Arrangement

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ra A. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?**

I like how easy it is to collaborate with Autodesk Forma. There are no collaboration issues with owning the model or part of it and no local files issues. The reviews are also great, especially the ability to create issues directly in the 3D model.

**What do you dislike about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?**

The Central/Local system has a lot of flaws. How the products are arranged could be improved; I wish we could create main folders for all of the projects hosted on Autodesk Forma, like SINGLES, TOWNS, etc. The training videos on the learning website need updating. The initial setup was kind of confusing to the team with no real training.

**What problems is Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Autodesk Forma to resolve model collaboration issues efficiently, with no local file problems. It facilitates easier collaboration and allows creating issues directly in the 3D model, unlike Revit, which is complicated for non-technical managers.
