What do you like best about ARIES Petroleum Economics and Reserves Software?

I like the ability to run batch cases all at once without any major hiccups. The results can be extracted from one line in Microsoft Access. It is also possible to globally edit all the cases at once. The software is able to match the scenario seamlessly without leaving any case out when global editing. What do you dislike about ARIES Petroleum Economics and Reserves Software?

The software feels tacky when being used. There are hang-ups sometimes when running cases and it can lead to slow running times. The memory space gets filled up quickly and it is not suited for extremely big data sets especially when printing results to the detail table. I typically have to compact and repair the database in Microsoft Access to free up space to run future runs. It would be great if the software automatically compacts and repairs anytime the software is closed or once a day. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering ARIES Petroleum Economics and Reserves Software:

It would be great to be able to schedule out a rig scenario and make ARIES a more robust economic tool. Something similar to Enersight would be great. It would be very impactful to the industry if different rig scenarios can be scheduled and run on the ARIES platform. Also, I would recommend switching data storage to the cloud. What problems is ARIES Petroleum Economics and Reserves Software solving and how is that benefiting you?

I have used ARIES to run acquisition and divestiture models as well as single well economics for projects. Economic indicators such as the rate of return (ROR), Cash PI, BFIT and AFIT cashflows are generated as well as capital schedules. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
