It's hard to pick one attribute which is better than others, but as far as I have experienced, it provides control over a class to limit what we want, from setting up the timestamp to printing the stack trace of an error occurred. It holds you back and gives a far better experience than regular console log. Moreover, it's safe and secure and can be used in production code, helping us debug any issue or check the performance of our application in a safe and descriptive way. Also, it gives us so many custom options to create the root file either using XML tags or a .properties file and customize the logs like timestamp design, method name, classname, line number, and also file size limit which helps in tracing the latest report and more. There's nothing to dislike about log4j as it makes life easier for developers and apps to control your apps and store its behavior without fear of losing data. Its only disadvantage, which I feel, is the incorrect usage which can lead to failure in any method of improper logging will be difficult to trace and debug the issue in the application.
