"Accurate Antenna Simulations, but Demands High Resources"
4/5
What do you like best about Ansys HFSS?

I like Ansys HFSS for its accuracy and reliability in electromagnetic and antenna simulations, especially for product-level analysis. HFSS helps me understand how an antenna behaves in real-world conditions when integrated inside an enclosure or complete device. The radiation pattern, gain, efficiency, and impedance matching results are very close to practical measurements, which helps reduce prototype iterations and development time. What do you dislike about Ansys HFSS?

One area where Ansys HFSS could improve is the simulation time and computational requirements for large product-level models. When simulating complete devices with multiple antennas, shielding structures, and detailed components, the simulation can become very time-consuming and requires high-end system resources such as large RAM and powerful processors. Another challenge is the meshing process for complex geometries. Sometimes achieving proper mesh convergence takes multiple iterations and manual tuning, especially for electrically small structures or very detailed models. This can increase overall development time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
