What do you dislike about Amazon Simple Email Service (Amazon SES)?

The learning curve for SES is a little steep and needs a little bit of expertise to use it, also the platform is quite vigilant and it may be quite a hindrance if you do not follow all the rules set by ses. What problems is Amazon Simple Email Service (Amazon SES) solving and how is that benefiting you?
