What do you like best about Amazon FSx for Windows File Server?

Amazon FSx for Windows File Server provides fully managed Windows-native shared storage with support for SMB, Active Directory integration, NTFS permissions, DFS Namespaces, and Volume Shadow Copy Service. I particularly like its seamless integration with Windows environments, automatic backups, Multi-AZ deployment, and managed patching, eliminating the operational burden of maintaining Windows file servers.

Performance is excellent for enterprise file shares, user home directories, application storage, and Microsoft workloads. The service delivers strong ROI by removing infrastructure management while maintaining high availability and native Windows compatibility. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Amazon FSx for Windows File Server?

It is best suited for Windows-based workloads. Linux environments generally benefit more from EFS or other FSx offerings. Storage sizing and throughput planning also require careful consideration for high-performance workloads. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
