What do you like best about Amazon FSx for NetApp ONTAP?

Amazon FSx for NetApp ONTAP combines fully managed AWS infrastructure with NetApp ONTAP's enterprise storage capabilities. I particularly like support for SnapMirror, FlexClone, Snapshots, Thin Provisioning, Data Deduplication, Compression, and Multi-Protocol Access (NFS, SMB, iSCSI), making it suitable for enterprise migrations and hybrid cloud deployments.

Performance is excellent for databases, VMware workloads, enterprise applications, and development environments. Storage efficiency features significantly reduce storage consumption while preserving enterprise-grade functionality. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Amazon FSx for NetApp ONTAP?

The feature set is extensive, resulting in a steeper learning curve than EFS or basic FSx deployments. Smaller workloads may not require the advanced storage capabilities that ONTAP provides. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

FSx for NetApp ONTAP simplified migrating enterprise NAS workloads to AWS without changing existing storage workflows.
