"FinSpace Made Financial Analytics Fast with Integrated Spark, Notebooks, and Data Catalog"

What do you like best about Amazon Finspace?

We previously used Amazon FinSpace for financial data management and analytics. AWS has announced that the service is entering end of support, and newer architectures are increasingly shifting toward SageMaker AI Studio, AWS Glue Data Catalog, Amazon EMR, and Apache Spark for similar analytics workflows.

Amazon FinSpace simplified financial analytics by bringing secure data ingestion, managed Spark clusters, notebooks, data cataloguing, and managed kdb+ together in a single platform. The integrated notebooks and Spark environment reduced the amount of infrastructure we had to manage, while still enabling analysts to work quickly with large financial datasets.

Performance was excellent for quantitative research, historical market analysis, and financial modelling, particularly when we combined Spark processing with the managed data cataloguing features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Amazon Finspace?

The platform was specialised for financial services and had a relatively narrow target audience. As AWS announced its retirement, investing in long-term adoption became less practical. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Amazon Finspace solving and how is that benefiting you?

FinSpace simplified ingesting, cataloguing, and analysing large financial datasets without maintaining custom Spark infrastructure.
