How would you rate your experience with Amazon EC2?

I am using Amazon EC2 for my website deployment. I like it because it's very handy, giving me a remote server to redirect my traffic with 99 percent uptime without any technical issues. It offers many OS options like Linux, Windows, and Ubuntu, allowing for flexibility according to my needs. The feature I like most is the CLI control, which gives me the ability to manage EC2 configurations through CLI commands, providing more control compared to manual RDP options. The initial setup was easy, thanks to the tutorials and steps on the UI interface. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes, Amazon EC2 doesn't give you proper updates about the memory fulfillment, and if the memory goes above a certain threshold, the application can go down. Also, the deployment process is not simple enough and can be hard for developers who are not very experienced. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I like best about Amazon EC2 is how easy it is to use and implement, even at scale. Spinning up instances is quick, and the setup process is straightforward with good documentation and tooling. We use EC2 very frequently for day-to-day workloads, and the large number of instance types and features gives us flexibility for almost any use case. It integrates seamlessly with other AWS services, which simplifies networking, storage, and security, and AWS customer support is reliable when help is needed. One thing I dislike about Amazon EC2 is the complexity that comes with its flexibility. With so many instance types, pricing models, and configuration options, it can be overwhelming and easy to misconfigure or overspend. Cost visibility and optimization also require extra effort and tooling. Additionally, managing EC2 at scale often means relying on multiple supporting services, which increases operational overhead. I like Amazon EC2 mainly because of its flexibility; I can choose the exact instance type, storage, and network setup I need. The integration with other AWS services is also a huge plus, making it easier to build complex workflows. The ability to automate deployments is really convenient, simplifying the management of multiple servers. I also appreciate how EC2 solves the problem of needing flexible, reliable servers without having to worry about buying or maintaining hardware. It handles traffic spikes well because I can scale instances up or down easily. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I think the biggest challenge for beginners is understanding instance types, pricing, and networking options. The pricing can be confusing at first, with so many instance types and billing options. Sometimes monitoring and managing multiple instances feels a bit complex, especially if you’re not familiar with AWS. A more beginner-friendly dashboard or simpler pricing explanation would help. The networking setup was a bit tricky at first because there are so many options—VPCs, subnets, and routing rules can feel overwhelming if you haven’t worked with cloud networks before. Security groups were also confusing initially; figuring out which ports to open and how to properly restrict access took some trial and error. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The best thing about AWS Cloud is the reliability and flexibility it gives. Services scale automatically without much manual effort, and the ecosystem is huge—you get everything from compute to messaging to databases under one roof. Plus, the documentation and integrations with other tools make development and deployment super smooth. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The downside of AWS Cloud is that the pricing can get confusing and unpredictable, especially when multiple services are involved. Some services also have a steep learning curve, and navigating the console can feel overwhelming for beginners. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Amazon EC2 offers unmatched flexibility and scalability for running workloads in the cloud. It supports a wide range of instance types and configurations, making it easy to tailor infrastructure to specific performance and cost requirements. Integration with other AWS services is seamless, and EC2 is reliable for both short-term and long-running workloads. Once familiar with AWS, implementation and ongoing use are straightforward, and it’s a core service we rely on frequently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The main downside is complexity for new users. Choosing the right instance types, pricing models, and networking options can be overwhelming. Costs can also grow quickly if resources are not carefully monitored. While AWS support and documentation are strong, troubleshooting sometimes requires deeper platform knowledge. I appreciate AWS Cloud for its dependable performance, scalability, and the extensive selection of services it offers. It enables businesses to deploy applications rapidly, eliminating concerns about managing infrastructure. The pay-as-you-go pricing structure is cost-effective, and the robust security features ensure strong data protection. Additionally, AWS provides outstanding global availability and integrates seamlessly with a variety of tools, which enhances both performance and efficiency. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
AWS Cloud provides impressive flexibility and a broad selection of services, but navigating the platform can be challenging, particularly for newcomers. The pricing model is often difficult to understand, and expenses can escalate rapidly if resources are not carefully monitored. Furthermore, certain advanced configurations demand significant technical expertise, which can make both setup and ongoing maintenance difficult for smaller teams. What I like best about Amazon EC2 is the flexibility it provides for managing application servers. It is easy to launch, scale, and monitor instances based on application needs. The integration with monitoring tools makes it simple to track instance health, performance, and availability. Using EC2 with load balancers has also helped in handling traffic efficiently and managing certificate renewals smoothly, which reduces manual effort and downtime. One thing I dislike about Amazon EC2 is that cost management can become challenging if instances are not monitored properly. There are many configuration options, which can be overwhelming for new users. Also, some routine tasks like instance optimization and security configurations require careful planning and continuous monitoring. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It allows you to provision thousand of virtual servers in minutes, scaling resources up or down instantly based on demand. This flexbility, combined with a pay as you go model ensures you never overpay for idel hardware or cash during spikes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The main drawbacks is the complexity of cost management. Between on demand, reserved and spot lead instances, pricing becomes confusing and unexpected data transfer fees can lead to sticker shock. Additionally manging security groups and fine tuning instance configuraations requires a steep learing curve for those used to simpler hosting environments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
