What do you like best about Altovista?

This is the most useful and comprehensive tool I’ve found for achieving AIO/GEO.

The reports are a big part of that. They’re genuinely presentable—I’ve taken the AI Market Share and Competitive Gap views straight into leadership conversations without having to rebuild them in slides first, which is more than I can say for most vendor reporting.

And it doesn’t stop at diagnosis. The GEO recommendations came back as a practical checklist: technical fixes for the dev side and content briefs for the writing side. They were specific enough that we could hand them off and have work start the same week. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Altovista?

Altovista shows the trend against competitors, which is helpful, but I’m still developing my own sense of what “healthy” looks like. That feels true of the whole GEO space right now, not an Altovista-specific flaw—just something to go in expecting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Altovista solving and how is that benefiting you?

We had no idea what AI models were telling buyers about us. Our Google rankings looked fine, but more and more prospects were showing up already informed—clearly having asked ChatGPT or Perplexity first—and we had zero visibility into what was shaping that. It was a blind spot we couldn’t even measure, let alone fix.

Altovista made it visible. We can now see which queries surface us, which ones hand the recommendation to a competitor, and which third-party sites and publishers the models are actually citing when they describe our category. That last part changed where we’re putting our PR effort, because we were chasing placements the models don’t read.

The practical benefit is that AI visibility went from something we worried about in the abstract to a line item with a number attached, plus a clear list of things to do about it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
