Align provides tools to plan and communicate shared priorities, to help companies visualize and reinforce strategic goals. The software is built around proven business habits: morning meetings that last no more than 15 minutes, ongoing employee input, and transparent performance tracking. ## Align Reviews ### 1. For companies looking for a tool to keep the overall strategy, annual initiatives, and quarterly priorities constantly in front of their employees, Align is the tool you're looking for. **What do you dislike about Align?** There aren't really a whole ton of downsides that we've encountered with Align. **What problems is Align solving and how is that benefiting you?** Align centralizes the strategic planning and operational execution across the organization. It's CRUCIAL to keep in mind that Align is NOT a project management platform but rather aimed specifically at keeping the entirety of the company aligned (see what I did there) with the overall purpose and strategy behind the tasks and activities of each team. ### 2. I appreciate being able to track my, other team members, and the company's progress. **What do you dislike about Align?** It's not a huge setback, but I wouldn't say I like that numbers do not roll over to the next quarter. I understand the quarterly tracking, but I would also like a running total. **What problems is Align solving and how is that benefiting you?** It's helping us keep ourselves and team members accountable. ### 3. Having a strategy and execution plan that receives daily attention is required for successful businesses, yet few actually address these areas consistently. Using align makes it easy and gives you a competitive edge. My companies have seen increased productivity and excellent results due to the consistent use of Align. **What do you dislike about Align?** I don't see any downsides to using Align. Some team members not used to being held accountable and delivering results will need some time to ramp up. If there are low performers on your team, this will become more apparent when using the tool. **What problems is Align solving and how is that benefiting you?** Align helps us create robust 1-page strategic plans which include goals and priorities as well as tasks. We then hold daily and weekly huddles to stay on track. We like the consistency of revisiting the strategy quarterly and making any necessary adjustments. The daily use of the tool drives up productivity and, more importantly, our results. ### 4. This helps you stay focused when you are in a situation where you say to yourself what should I do today? The answer is always to focus on that priority and what will move that priority's needle and the reason you are doing that is because you recognized what actions move your business forward beforehand. **What do you dislike about Align?** Probably the design of the app, it is getting better but if anything that could be one thing I would work on. **What problems is Align solving and how is that benefiting you?** It's helping me focus on the tasks that need to be done to scale my business. It's easy to lose focus and with Align I can always check myself. It's helping me scale my consultancy! ### 5. From the use of the daily huddle updates, to top priorities, and a common goal and KPI tracking - it is truly a "one-stop shop" for team alignment. **What do you dislike about Align?** We've used Align for close to one year now and I don't see any drawbacks. At times, the interface isn't intuitive, but a simple reach out to our dedicated Align representative always clears that up quickly and effectively. **What problems is Align solving and how is that benefiting you?** Our team was having difficulty adjusting to the switch to remote/hybrid work. Align helped us organize and stay connected seamlessly. It has also increased our productivity as we all are able to work towards common goals without having to check on others progress via email or meetings. ### 6. My customers use it to keep the focus on strategic initiatives and the priorities that provide the greatest returns **What do you dislike about Align?** It takes time to learn good habits like running effective meetings and constructively challenging team priorities. The align software guides teams through the process but it still takes time **What problems is Align solving and how is that benefiting you?** Setting clear priorities and measuring progress. Simple to use. It keeps the team accountable in a visual setting. Very easy for an administrator to get the account started, adding team members and inputting payment options. **What do you dislike about Align?** Minor dislike is when updating tasks/priorities to "Edit" and going into a different page. It would be great to have a +/- button right next to the KPI item so that someone can press up or down. Or the field box to input the new value. **What problems is Align solving and how is that benefiting you?** We started using Align to keep our startup all focused on common goals. With a technology startup, everyone might be doing many tasks simultaneously, and making sure they stay on track is the most important goal. The most significant benefit is with Align being so visual with Red, Yellow, and Green colors, how fast we can decipher where our attention needs to be. ### 8. What started as an accountability tool has grown to be the central meeting and collaboration tool as our small team deals with increasingly complex working relationships and challenges. What I like best about it is the transparency and inclusiveness it brings to our processes, so that we all know where we're excelling and where we can improve and how each member of the team can jump in and help out. **What do you dislike about Align?** Align can do a lot, and for a small team that uses only some of the available tools, the complexity of the interface that comes with all those options can be a bit confusing. **What problems is Align solving and how is that benefiting you?** Flattening the organization of the company and creating powerful transparency that creates a good overview and tracks the minutia that each team member is responsible for. ### 9. I love the platform because it is super simple and user-friendly! The things that drew me to Align are: 1. Having somewhere central to capture the priorities of the company that is visible to everyone 2. The strategic planning framework 3. Daily Huddles **What do you dislike about Align?** Would like to see some more 3rd party integrations or a framework for doing that. Zapier is a good start but I would like more options. **Recommendations to others considering Align:** Take the time to get onboarded properly by Align's friendly staff. It made things very smooth for us and we had the product up and running well within a quarter. **What problems is Align solving and how is that benefiting you?** 1. Getting everyone aligned! 2. We grew 65% last year, definitely aided by Align 3.
