"Akool Streamlined Our Onboarding with Multilingual, Self-Paced Videos"

What do you like best about AKOOL?

Onboarding. We hire steadily, and I was running the same induction session every fortnight. Akool lets me take our standard content—policies, tools, expectations, and culture—and turn it into short videos that new joiners can work through during their first week. The multilingual capability is especially helpful because some of our hires are for roles where English isn’t a first language. Overall, it’s taken a recurring task off my calendar. What do you dislike about AKOOL?

It doesn’t feel built for HR content. The avatars lean corporate in a way that comes across stiff for anything culture-related, and the overall tone is so neutral that it ends up feeling cold for a welcome message. For our culture modules, I’ve been recording the audio myself and using Akool only for the visuals. There’s also no completion tracking, so I still need a separate system to confirm who watched what. What problems is AKOOL solving and how is that benefiting you?

Mainly, it’s the consistency of the induction. The quality used to depend on which manager ran the session and how much time they had available. Now there’s a standard set of modules and a record of what’s been covered. New joiners seem to reach productivity a little faster, although I’d want more data before stating that with confidence.
