What do you like best about Airwallex?

Airwallex provides a clean and well-documented API that makes integration straightforward, especially for global payment and multi-currency workflows. I really like how easy it is to set up cross-border transfers, issue virtual cards, and manage different currencies within a single platform. The FX rates are competitive, and the developer experience is smooth thanks to clear documentation and reliable performance.

What do you dislike about Airwallex?

While Airwallex offers a lot of value, there are a few drawbacks: the sandbox environment doesn’t always mirror production, which can make testing complex workflows harder. The account / onboarding / KYC process sometimes feels opaque or arbitrary — users report rejections or delays without clear explanations. Also, customer support can be slow or hard to reach at times, especially when issues arise with compliance or funds being held. What problems is Airwallex solving and how is that benefiting you?

Airwallex helps us manage international payments, hold funds in multiple currencies, and reduce foreign exchange costs. Instead of relying on multiple banks and payment providers, we can use a single platform to send and receive money globally, issue virtual cards for our teams, and streamline expense management. This not only saves us transaction and conversion fees but also gives us faster settlement times and better visibility over cross-border cash flow, which is a big benefit for scaling our business internationally.
