The data platform allows us to find drawings efficiently, and the simple user interface makes learning Caddi easy. I can train a new user to use Caddi within minutes, regardless of their role in the organization. Whether it’s someone in the purchasing department looking up order history for a part, or a product engineer searching for information on a standard design, it’s straightforward to get what they need.
We’ve recently integrated our database with our international drawing database, which has opened up a broader and simpler approach to searching for drawings. I’m most excited about the design checker app we’re developing with Caddi. What used to be the most frustrating task—manually checking new drawings—should soon become a fast, automated process that reviews basic dimensioning, so we can focus on the actual engineered data on a drawing.
This helps our engineering department keep up with the workload at a pace that would otherwise require adding more personnel. The value we get from using Caddi feels almost limitless, because it seems like we keep discovering new possibilities as we use the data platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
While the tool is extremely useful, it still feels like this AI platform is in its infancy. I don’t want to be limited to a drawing database alone; I’m looking for more possibilities. Overall, performance has been exceptional, but to deliver a truly stellar return on investment, I’d like Caddi to think more like a design engineer.
In the near future, I’d like to be able to ask Caddi to help me find a specific drawing so I’m not relying only on my own knowledge, but instead on Caddi’s full database of information. If I can ask Caddi to locate a specific drawing, it should be able to pull it up and then recommend the next steps in the process—what hardware would be needed, what machining concerns to watch for on a custom drawing, and any nonconformity requirements that may need to be followed. The smarter the AI platform becomes, the more we can achieve with it. Once this is in place, I feel like we’d be getting the full value from Caddi. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
