Marketo scales cross-channel campaigns massively, as long as you accept it’s not magic and humans still have to build and babysit the machinery. Nurture Streams can run on autopilot once you map them out, and Smart Audiences mean no more exporting CSVs because dynamic lists pull in exactly who you need. I also see User, Role, and Access Management as the ultimate guardrails, Email Building as the handshake with the customer (including dynamic content blocks for real personalization), and Campaign Analytics as the truth teller so you’re not driving blindfolded. A lot still feels painfully manual. Campaign QA is a grind: you still have to click every link, test every trigger, and send yourself a ton of test emails so a typo doesn’t blast out to 50,000 people. Data cleaning doesn’t go away either, if your database is messy you still have to build the data-washing workflows. And the platform can’t do the creative stuff like writing copy, designing layout, or coming up with strategy. On the AI side, I’ve run into “hallucination” moments where something looks flawless but is fabricated and breaks when tested. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
