It saves us from having to print out paper manuals and store them at various workstations throughout our facilities. Operators need to refer to manuals daily in some instances, and paper manuals get wrecked or lost; having a digital version readily available for anyone to use is much simpler. Implementing the system throughout the building was relatively easy, though we had to add computer stations to a few additional areas, which of course has a cost to it, but it was worth the expense to provide easy access. If someone doesn't already have a basic understanding of ABB hardware or industrial processes in general such as PLCs, conveyor belts, drive motors, etc., they won't necessarily be able to jump right into some work instructions.
