The initial setup was very easy, especially once you know where you have to go for mapping your chart of accounts to A2X. After setting it up correctly, posting entries and reviewing them is very easy. **What do you dislike about A2X?** The mappings need to be able to go into more detailed accounts because we have some accounts that go to multiple different accounts, so we have to manually update those. **Recommendations to others considering A2X:** . **What problems is A2X solving and how is that benefiting you?** A2X helps export information from our Amazon seller account to QuickBooks and simplifies handling deferred transactions. ### 2. I think about it as a pivot table machine that takes thousands of Excel rows and turn them into a manageable number of accounts for Xero. **What do you dislike about A2X?** For a pivot table, it sure is a very expensive one. Amazon constantly adds new classifications so the app does require regular maintenance. Sometimes hard to figure out which account is most appropriate for each charge. I have no idea how we ever functioned without it. The integration with Quickbooks is seamless so it saves me and our accountant time and money. **What do you dislike about A2X?** I dislike the manual piece of pulling the reports into QuickBooks but overall, the thought of having to go back and try to obtain this data manually is just inconceivable. **Recommendations to others considering A2X:** For a small business owner, at this price point, it's a no-brainer. This tool provides you with the data you need on your business so you can spend your time where it's needed most. **What problems is A2X solving and how is that benefiting you?** My accountant can provide current numbers on how my business is doing. I had no visibility into this part of my business before but it has really helped tighten up our numbers. ### 8. And, if you want your COGS tracked by SKU, head to account > invoices > and tick "track by SKU". If you do that, also be sure that the SKUs in Amazon match the SKUs in your accounting software EXACTLY. Worse case, they don't match and you have to make manual/general journal COGS entries instead. **What problems is A2X solving and how is that benefiting you?** First and foremost, converting Amazon's bi-weekly statements into monthly entries. Secondly, but also super important, tracking and entering the corresponding COGS. ### 9. I love the user interface. It is really easy to see what has been sent to the accounting software and what has not. This app is worth the investment in the time it saves me every month. **What do you dislike about A2X?** The only downside is that the set up process and figuring how it all works has a learning curve. I used A2X a couple years ago and the support was phenomenal. I recently set up another account and it was much harder to get answers quickly. I still got a response but not fast and had this been my first time, I think I would have had a much harder time. **Recommendations to others considering A2X:** Its worth the investment. If you are using it for a client, plan to incorporate the cost of the software in your price to your client. It will save you time! **What problems is A2X solving and how is that benefiting you?** Data entry for Shopify sales. It saves me a lot of time because now I don't need to enter all the sales info from the software manually. Having the data imported automatically ensures that I have accurate data and I can use that time I saved elsewhere. ### 10. The cost of goods feature means that stock is less of a pain point for a lot of businesses. **What do you dislike about A2X?** The mapping of codes can be tricky to use sometimes, and it can be hard to identify the different settlements at times. I want a flag to show when regulations are not mapping correctly. **Recommendations to others considering A2X:** I'd advise others to use A2X if they have an e-commerce business as it splits out the sales and costs. I believe this helps to build a better business. **What problems is A2X solving and how is that benefiting you?** The most significant benefit of using A2X is seeing not only the sales break down but also the breakdown of costs. A lot of companies find it hard to keep track of stock.
