I think about it as a pivot table machine that takes thousands of Excel rows and turn them into a manageable number of accounts for Xero. **What do you dislike about A2X?** For a pivot table, it sure is a very expensive one. Amazon constantly adds new classifications so the app does require regular maintenance. And I also need to work efficiently. This software checks both those boxes. It makes matching orders and payouts a breeze. Shopify is very complicated to match and reconcile, and very time consuming. This software saves countless hours and removes the risk of human error in data entry. And their customer support is bar none. It’s incredible. Natalie and Iona are rockstars. **What do you dislike about A2X?** My only dislike is that it can’t fetch all the PayPal data for orders processed via PayPal on the Shopify platform. It can catch the sales but you have manually go back and add in the fees. I think they are hoping to add this and that would be incredible. **Recommendations to others considering A2X:** Get it. Book a demo. They will show you why this is worth it. It’s a no-brainer. The support team helps you set everything up so it maps correctly. Easy peasy. **What problems is A2X solving and how is that benefiting you?** It made reconciling the Shopify sales, fees, payouts, gift cards, gift card redemptions, basically everything you do in Shopify, a breeze. And, if you want your COGS tracked by SKU, head to account > invoices > and tick "track by SKU". If you do that, also be sure that the SKUs in Amazon match the SKUs in your accounting software EXACTLY. Worse case, they don't match and you have to make manual/general journal COGS entries instead. **What problems is A2X solving and how is that benefiting you?** First and foremost, converting Amazon's bi-weekly statements into monthly entries. I love the user interface. It is really easy to see what has been sent to the accounting software and what has not. This app is worth the investment in the time it saves me every month. **What do you dislike about A2X?** The only downside is that the set up process and figuring how it all works has a learning curve. I used A2X a couple years ago and the support was phenomenal. I recently set up another account and it was much harder to get answers quickly. I still got a response but not fast and had this been my first time, I think I would have had a much harder time. **Recommendations to others considering A2X:** Its worth the investment. If you are using it for a client, plan to incorporate the cost of the software in your price to your client. It saves me a lot of time because now I don't need to enter all the sales info from the software manually. I want a flag to show when regulations are not mapping correctly. **Recommendations to others considering A2X:** I'd advise others to use A2X if they have an e-commerce business as it splits out the sales and costs. It does accrual entries for split disbursements covering sales in two months. It makes accounting for COGS extremely simple. Saves hours per month for better results than manual entries. **What do you dislike about A2X?** Initial setup can be tricky, but A2X offers an account rep to help you get everything squared away (and works without a hitch once set up). Customer service chat is quick and responsive as well. If I had any issues, they were resolved within 24 hours. **What problems is A2X solving and how is that benefiting you?** Amazon and Shopify settlement/payout entries are done in seconds, as well as COGS accounting by channel. What used to take a couple of hours every two weeks now takes minutes and is done much more accurately than our manual methods that included downloading, formatting, and analyzing reports / applying formulas. ### 12. Seriously. The features are superb and it does everything we need it to do and more. The only feature I think they are missing is more support for different sales channels such as Wix.com. **What problems is A2X solving and how is that benefiting you?** Accounting for small businesses is always a challenge. Especially our business which is high volume, low price. For most small businesses, money is spent wisely on everything and A2X delivers a high value for a good price. ### 19. The only thing I would add is if we could download detailed reports by individual sales transaction, but not really what it is designed for. **What problems is A2X solving and how is that benefiting you?** Amazon payments are especially problematic when trying to reconcile payouts that span over the end of the month, which they all do. I was also able to add my own accountant to the profile at A2X to assist me with any questions that I had. Honestly, it's been pretty seamless between setup and going. It took me an hour or two and I was on the ground, running. **What do you dislike about A2X?** I honestly haven't found anything that I dislike about A2X. It does what it's supposed to do, and that's it. What more can you ask for? I was looking for an app that would assist me in getting my transactions tracked and transferred to my Quickbooks online account from Shopify, and A2X did the trick. Nothing is perfect, but this app is close to it. **Recommendations to others considering A2X:** This was an easy app to integrate, and the cost was not super prohibitive for a small business. I was able to implement the application quickly with both Shopify and Quickbooks, and everything has honestly been very smooth since I installed it. It does what it's supposed to do. **What problems is A2X solving and how is that benefiting you?** I needed a backend app to transfer my transactions and money to my QuickBooks tracking and integrating my purchases and sales tax from my store to my accounting profile in QuickBooks. A2X does this for me. I looked at other reviews for similar apps, and overall, what I was seeing from A2X versus the other apps was that I should look no further than A2X and it's been seamless so those reviews were correct. ### 21. We recommend this to all our customers using QuickBooks or Xero, and selling on Amazon or Shopify. **What do you dislike about A2X?** It takes a fair bit of learning to understand what the journal entries mean, where the money is going and why. A layperson will have to dedicate significant time to learn how and why the journal entries are the way they are. Also, there is no check to ensure that the journal entries haven't already been pushed into the accounting system which can result in double-counting if the user isn't careful. It's best to work with a professional. **What problems is A2X solving and how is that benefiting you?** It's SOOOO much easier than going over large reports from the sales platforms (Amazon and Shopify) and trying to make sure everything is in the right place. I connect A2X to QBO. I'm not sure how it compares with others, but it definitely fits for me. **What do you dislike about A2X?** When you push COGS over, it won't always make it clear what has been pushed over, so I have to do a double-check on a lot of the settlements I have already pushed over. **What problems is A2X solving and how is that benefiting you?** Amazon is a complex platform to sell on, especially when it comes to calculating COGS because of all the fees involved. However, in an overall aspect, I can see that this system will be a lot helpful in other businesses. **What problems is A2X solving and how is that benefiting you?** I've encountered that it does not automatically create an invoice in the accounting software, but when I was able to talk to their helpdesk, it was very easy. Receipts are emailed but not in PDF format and it doesnt seem to be possible to automatically pull them into a receipt platform like Dext or Hubdoc. The Multi-Channel option makes using A2X a breeze as you can switch back and forth between Amazon, Shopify, and other client accounts. The integration with Xero is excellent and the software is relatively easy and intuitive to set up. I was able to set up the account without assistance by reading the help manuals. The support from A2X is also wonderful. I have always received prompt and helpful responses through webchat and email. **What do you dislike about A2X?** Reporting of units sold by SKU directly in Xero. It appears in the settings that this is possible so perhaps I haven't set this up accurately. I was able to get units sold to appear in the Xero files attachment but would prefer if there was a functionality to report units sold by SKU in Xero. With that said, this information is readily available in A2X. Another feature that would be wonderful is if there was an opening to ending inventory reconciliation that reconciled sales and additions to inventory during the period selected. It is my understanding there are 3rd party integrations that can assist with this, but it would be great if it was all housed within A2X. **What problems is A2X solving and how is that benefiting you?** Automate inventory and COGS and Amazon/Shopify sales transactions.
