The current events shows for technology are pretty fantastic. The ease of use in the UI gives me a quick glance of what I need to finish when I login. The learning paths are a huge advantage against analysis paralysis giving people clear course work to work on without the distraction of what-if vs this is industry standard. The labs and sandboxes allow me to work within a single pane of glass without having to switch between providers and maintain multiple accounts across platforms. **What do you dislike about Pluralsight?** Somewhat expensive buy high value for the constant updated information and news casts. Persistent login is a problem I see, I'd like to be able to login once and stay logged in for at least 30 days instead of verifying my session every time. I find that security feature annoying. The wealth of information can be daunting with the sheer enormity of content available it is hard to focus on mastery of a cloud platform or service. **Recommendations to others considering Pluralsight:** ACG is the best cloud education provider I've found. Many of the courses I've used here have led to more opportunities to grow within my organization leading to a direct correlation of more income. **What problems is Pluralsight solving and how is that benefiting you?** The information provided to get certified is a good starting point for those that are new or lacking expertise in a certain service or Cloud Platform. The amount of information available and current podcasts put out by ACG is more than other online learning courses provide. ACG regularly updates their course work and gives you timelines of when the industry changes their certifications. You also get real work experienced teachers with practical advice and best practices. ### 10. The migration itself appears to have gone smooth. My login information remained the same, and things looked a little different it was easy to figure out where things are, and most importantly the Sandbox and Playground area largely remained the same. As a linux academy customer, I would have easily given this 5-Stars, simply because the content was stellar, and covered pretty much anything/everthing I wanted to learn. And did so well enough to pass exams, and learn the content. In regards to content, this remains the same before/after the aquisition of Linux Academy. Every course I've take to date has been consitently perfect, complete with labs, sandboxes, and AWS Playground. **What do you dislike about Pluralsight?** Here's what keeping things from 5-Stars. The portal framework, and the support structure. I've been having an issue where I authenticate fine. And every course I had in my to-do queue works perfectly, as do the sandboxes and playgrounds. However, since the migration I've been experiencing a problem where I authenticate fine, can watch any video in my queue, however often times I need to branch out and watch a few videos from other course. I.e. If I learn about Docker in Python, I may want to break out and watch 2-3 videos on dockers to fully understand them. However, I'm able to search and find the videos I want to watch but when I click on them they show for a brief second, then I get punted to a login screen to verify my account. Which says it sent an email (Which never arrives), and when I click to resend the page errors out. Bringing me to my number one dislike; The support structure; Their support only operates 9AM-6PM ET Monday through Friday. They're closed in the evenings and weekends. In addition to that, they do not hav ea call in support. Your support interface is filling out a web form, then submitting. Then from there it's all e-mails. After 4 tickets, my experience has been there's a averag of 2-3 day response times. So if you had a week's worth of training planned and things blow up say Wednesday, you're guranteed to not get a resolution until the following week. And if you're planning to take training Friday morning, and things break you're unable to get anyone until the following week. **Recommendations to others considering Pluralsight:** If available to you via your company and SSO, I would highly recommend utilizing this service. As mentioned, the training is thorough, and well executed. It covers the content you need to obtain certifications, and deeply learn the content. In addition, you have full access to your own sandbox, which includes AWS, GCS, and Azure. Then sandboxes allow you to fire up multiple VMs which you have admin rights over to test everything you're learning. If an individual forking out the money yourself like I am, pay close attention to their support hours. And rather or not being down for a week while problems are resolved are import to you or not. **What problems is Pluralsight solving and how is that benefiting you?** Various projects from AWS solutions, automation, to implementation of uCMDB and asset management. Many benefits have been realized through training to quickly come up to speed on languages such as javaScript and Python, as well as AWS certifications. ### 11. It doesn't feel like force learning, and they can make the uninteresting topics quite engaging. The examples used are real world, and the hands on labs lectures show you step by step what to do. **What do you dislike about Pluralsight?** As an advanced user, a few lectures can go on a bit too long, though I do realise that they need to cater for those who could be new to the space. I also wish they had more project-specific content, like "here's a project we are going to create from scratch, these are the pieces we'll need and how they will fit together and why each service was chosen. Now lets get building." The hands-on labs do these to a small degree and are focused on a specific cloud-vendor service, I'd love to see them build whole projects step by step utilising many different services to show how the full application stack all fits together. That said, their content is still incredibly in-depth as it is. **Recommendations to others considering Pluralsight:** It's well worth the price of admission. Set yourself a study schedule, don't wait for a rainy day. Set a few hours each week to study and commit to it. Form a study group and meet with each other once or twice a week to discuss what pieces you have learned, quiz eachother. You will all get more out of it. I set this up at a prior organisation and everyone loved it. Get management's buy-in. After the first round of students gaining new skills we found over $10k in monthly AWS bill savings. Don't just watch the videos showing the hands-on labs. Do it along side them in your own account **What problems is Pluralsight solving and how is that benefiting you?** I've learned how VPC's work, how subnets work, how to handle security in a far better way through IAM roles (opposed to credentials stored in apps) , and why there are so many different EC2 instance types. I also feel confident about redesigning my project to take advantage of a few serverless services on AWS ### 12. I like they cover many topics even when they know it will not be tested, i think this gives you a great professional formation. Every preparation course has an Exam Final with question close to the complexity to the real exams and you have the chance to have feedback about what was well or wrong with each answer while your are taking practices. About A cloud Gurú, a thing that I really liked is that they shows you the recommended certification path, and tell you the order in which should be more effective to take every certification in, for example, the AWS certification Path. **What do you dislike about Pluralsight?** The site is a little slow sometimes, but this is fine. And some questions are very easy compared with the level of the certification that you are preparing against, but in the overall, you are fine for your exam preparation **Recommendations to others considering Pluralsight:** A Cloud Gurú probably is the "all you need" platform to make your cloud transformation journey. These are very valuable for allowing participants to screw up and fix. Or if it is screwed up so bad then you just close it out. They also have great blogs and videos about the current state of cloud platforms. The advantage of having Linux Academy with its study guide is a huge plus. **What do you dislike about Pluralsight?** Sometimes to labs can go too fast to keep up. I don't really like slowing the speed, it messes the vocals up and I can't focus with it being that way. Also, I know AWS (and I'm sure others) are constantly changing their consoles, but some videos are outdated for the new dashboards. **Recommendations to others considering Pluralsight:** A Cloud Guru is a phenomenal resource to anyone. Someone who has zero experience or someone who needs to polish their skills in any area will benefit from ACG. It is one of the first resources I go to when I need to learn more new cloud related topics. **What do you dislike about Pluralsight?** No real downside, it's one of the most used sites for learning I have. **What problems is Pluralsight solving and how is that benefiting you?** I've been using A Cloud Guru for 6 years, since they were much smaller, using the original AWS Solutions Architect Associate course. The material helped me come up to speed quickly in cloud, when it was much more immature and not a lot of materials available. It help me pivot into cloud architecture and stay on top of new cloud related topics. For the first few years of use, I used it as a research tool. I didn't use it to pass AWS certification exams until last year, where I found it indispensable. ### 16. Being able to use cloud playground and setting up sandboxes to test products, features or just follow along with courses like Docker, Linux and Kubernetes. I also am a big fan of the labs included in the courses to see what the instructor is working on and lets you do those tasks yourself. Also, having some cyber security courses available will be a big help going forward. I will also eventually have to check out the new ASWS courses when it is time to recertify. **What do you dislike about Pluralsight?** Sometimes, the content isn't up to date. One of the best things is that it works very smoothly on the mobile even I face no issue I having the online video sessions on the mobile version of this application. Pluralsight give me freedom to get enrolled m self in certification practice exams that also includes industrial practice tests. Through its skill IQ feature I can test my gaps and strengths; this feature helps to adopt the right course choice without wasting time on hit and trail basis. **What do you dislike about Pluralsight?** It is very costly software which requires yearly subscription based on the number of members who utilize this program. Couple of times I have faced some noise and buffering in the audios. In addition it is easy to share the content but quite difficult to download various programs. I am looking for more integration too. **Recommendations to others considering Pluralsight:** Pluralsight is highly recommended for very individual. It is designed for every organization. This platform opens new ways to interact with new technology and to modify your business according to upcoming challenges. I will recommend you to try it for brain storming of your employees which will throw positive impact on you organizational growth as well. **What problems is Pluralsight solving and how is that benefiting you?** It is completely advanced tool. Multiple channels are associated with Pluralsight and I can easily share the content with my team members as well. To find the answers to the complex questions is quite easy now because of its Vs coding. ### 49. The sandboxes are also awesome learning resources without breaking the bank. **What do you dislike about Pluralsight?** Some content needs a refresh for the constant changing of certain certifications. **What problems is Pluralsight solving and how is that benefiting you?** I am learning to become certified for my role, learning for my own personal achievements and because of my interest in IT. I have been able to get hands on with concepts that I normally would have only learnt through theory, this type of learning suits me. ### 50.
