What do you like best about 3D Slicer?

I use Slicer3D for segmenting CMR images. I like the software is flexible, open-source, and offers several options for image processing. I like it allows to prepare scenes and exploit visualization tools for highlighting specific regions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about 3D Slicer?

Sometimes the new tools are not straightforward, but that's not a serious issue once you get used to them. And also, sometimes there are errors when importing the DICOM data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering 3D Slicer:

Don't be afraid of trying the new tools the developers improve, and to use the forum. I haven't asked anything yet, because every time I have a problem with the software, someone already asked the same thing and I get the answer I'm looking for. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is 3D Slicer solving and how is that benefiting you?

I work with CMR imaging, and at this moment, I'm working on left atrium scar segmentation. It is quite challenging because the resolution of CMR images limits the identification of the LA wall, and it's not always possible to have success when segmenting it. The benefits rely mostly on the confidence levels for scar detection, as well as the visualization tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
