"Streamlined Our Pre-Sales Process, Needs Better Integrations"
4/5
What do you like best about 20NINE?

What I appreciate most about 20NINE is its lightweight, practical design that fits perfectly for small manufacturing teams like ours in Duisburg. Unlike many bloated CRM systems loaded with unnecessary marketing and sales automation tools built for large enterprises, 20NINE focuses purely on core customer and pre-sales tracking, which matches exactly what our daily workflow requires. The interface is clean, simple, and very intuitive for non-technical team members, so our sales and back-office staff can quickly log B2B inquiries, record custom component quotation details, add technical client notes, and schedule follow-up reminders without lengthy training. Even employees who are not very tech-confident can comfortably use the system after a brief internal onboarding session. As our company’s IT and process administration specialist, I also really value how simple the backend user management and licensing controls are. I can easily create new user accounts, assign role-based permissions, and adjust access rights for sales, admin, and production staff to maintain strict data discipline. The platform’s customizable record structure is another major advantage. I can build manufacturing-specific custom fields for component numbers, quote revision statuses, technical specifications, and expected delivery timelines. This allows us to store all industry-critical client data directly within customer profiles instead of relying on scattered spreadsheets or unorganized note entries. Overall, 20NINE provides stable, no‑frills functionality that streamlines our pre-sales tracking without forcing us to pay for redundant features we will never use. What do you dislike about 20NINE?

While 20NINE handles our core pre-sales customer tracking well for our Duisburg-based manufacturing team, there are several noticeable shortcomings that create extra manual work for me in my day-to-day role as a Business Process & IT Administration Specialist, none of which are complete show-stoppers. To start with, GDPR-related tooling remains fairly basic. I can adjust user permissions without issues, but there is no centralized audit log available. When conducting internal compliance reviews, I cannot pull a unified log showing who edited, exported or viewed customer records. I have to check individual profiles piece-by-piece, which noticeably slows down our audit work. Bulk operations are also quite restricted. If I need to update status tags for dozens of old closed inquiries or clean up duplicate customer entries, I have to open and edit each record one by one. There is no proper bulk-editing function. Batch updates can only be done by exporting, editing externally, then re-importing data, and this occasionally generates new duplicate entries if field mapping does not match perfectly. Additionally, integrations are lacking. There's no automatic Outlook email sync with 20NINE, so team members must manually copy email excerpts into CRM records. Our ERP system isn't connected to 20NINE, leading to double-entry for data, which is error-prone. Finally, while setting up the tool was relatively smooth, adapting it to fit our workflows took significant manual configuration, like creating custom fields for our manufacturing needs.
