Zededa enables support for virtual machines, 'simple containers', and more complex k3s based workloads. This mix allows a controlled adoption cure for containers at the edge. In the Industrial Automation space, there is still a wide array of windows dependencies; this ability was critical in our selection criteria. While VM support was necessary, a clear path to a fully containerized future was paramount. The ability to support a "simple" and more "complex" spectrum of container support is a core enabler as we ramp up the inventory of containerized applications. Supporting project policies that enable automated and consistent application deployment templates is also a compelling feature.
