cStream collects real-time performance and consumption statistics of transactional workloads. It is thus able to show information relating to what is really happening at the moment, without having to wait for extractions and re-elaborations that will take place the following day. Highlighting anomalous situations allows customers to obtain MIPS savings, to improve the efficiency of the applications and the quality of the software, in order to support the technical teams in troubleshooting. cStream Mips consumption is extremely limited thanks to the specificity of the solution. It only reaches a fraction of a percentage point for 24/7 monitoring. Advanced functions can be activated on-demand for a limited time (usually for few minutes a day) as well as deep profiling, detail consumption at program level and called/caller program tree. In this case consumption will be higher and it could reach 4-5% of consumption of monitored transactions alone
