Waypoint Systems tracks equipment that moves: AV and production gear, tools, IT hardware, rental inventory. Crew members scan items in and out with their phone camera — no scanner hardware needed, though hardware scanners work too — and every checkout is tied to a person and a job, building a permanent audit trail.
Beyond check-out/check-in: reservations so gear can’t be double-booked, maintenance schedules that roll forward automatically when service is logged (scan six items at the bench, log one entry for all of them), custody hand-off PDFs with signatures, and a CSV importer built to accept whatever layout your existing spreadsheet uses.
Crew and volunteer logins are unlimited on every plan — pricing is by items tracked, not headcount. Each organization’s data is fully isolated (row-level security per tenant), with nightly backups.
Waypoint is currently in a free beta capped at 22 workspaces so every team gets direct support from the founder; beta teams keep three free months at public launch.
