Verbier is a background removal API for developers and e-commerce teams. You send a photo as a URL or base64 and Verbier returns the subject on a transparent background as a WebP or PNG, cropped to the subject. It was built for the photos that background removers usually get wrong. White trainers on a white floor, boxes cut off by the edge of the frame, windblown hair and pet fur all come back whole. Verbier also corrects the colour at the edges, so strands of hair keep their own colour instead of a fringe of the old background. The same request can also finish the image. You can add a drop, contact or cast shadow drawn from the subject's own shape, remove stray specks of background, or double the resolution of small supplier photos. You can also place the result on a colour or a photo of your own, with its colour matched to the new scene. Every option is included on every plan at no extra cost. Pricing is published on the site and billed monthly in US dollars. Every account gets 50 full-size, unwatermarked images a month for free, and you don't need a card to sign up. Starter is $9 a month for 1,000 images, which is under a cent each. Pro is $49 a month for 10,000 images, which is about half a cent each. Only images we deliver count towards your allowance, so a failed request costs nothing. You can upgrade, downgrade or cancel from your dashboard at any time.
