I was given materials to review and prepare from, but I was also able to actively contribute to resume and cover letter drafts, discuss real job opportunities, and tailor my materials around roles and salary ranges that matched my actual goals. The process had a helpful framework, but it did not feel like a generic template. It felt customized to my background, my target roles, and the career transition I was navigating. In my case, we also discussed portfolio and website strategy, which was especially important for the kind of specialized creative roles I was pursuing.
