Aerotrac is a useful tool to track maintenance of both fixed wing and rotary wing components by monitoring their usage hours and cycles. It is quite a comprehensive software, important for both forecasting & planning and a week's training can be helpful in getting started. Aerotrac is simple in application and has a transparent, user-friendly, descriptive interface. The best aspect of it is that it integrates several departments such as Logistics, Commercial, Quality Assurance, Finance etc. Getting orders from Technical-CAMO team to approvals from Finance and QA is inherently streamlined through this MRO software. For someone like me who works in the Procurement department, I feel that Aerotrac is comprehensive to include a number of business processes, making it easy to coordinate and source parts and components from the world over.
