Trace by Fervon is a personal memory tool that runs entirely on your own machine. It captures lightweight signals — browser history across every profile, the active window, the clipboard, optionally your shell history — and turns them into a searchable timeline of what you read, wrote and worked on.
It does not record your screen: no screenshots, no video, no audio, no OCR. That is why it stays small enough to leave running — a sliver of disk per day instead of gigabytes per month.
Nothing leaves the machine: no account, no cloud sync, no telemetry, and a dashboard served on 127.0.0.1. The licence is verified offline, so the software never phones home. Exclude domains and keywords and those pages are never written to disk at all.
Beyond full-text search there is semantic search over a private local index, a day-by-day timeline, tags, weekly recaps, per-application usage and an encrypted backup vault. Windows, macOS and Linux. A one-time purchase, not a subscription.
