TheShareWay is a software platform that helps nonprofits and schools find, apply for, and track in-kind (product) donations and grant funding. It maintains a continuously updated directory of companies that donate products such as food, beverages, gift cards, and auction and raffle items, alongside a database of corporate, foundation, and government grant opportunities and foundation giving data drawn from IRS Form 990-PF filings.
Each company profile shows what the company donates, which causes and geographies it prefers, eligibility rules, how and when to apply, and reviews from other nonprofits, along with approval-rate and donation-value metrics based on years of tracked applications. Grant profiles include the funder, award range, program overview, deadlines, and submission details. Users can filter by cause, location, application method, and eligibility, save opportunities, and manage every application through a built-in pipeline (Track) with owners, notes, statuses, and weekly deadline reminder emails. Notifications flag when a donor pauses or resumes its program or a grant closes or reopens.
TheShareWay also lists consignment packages, i.e. travel and experience packages that nonprofits can feature at fundraising auctions with no upfront cost, and offers companies a branded donation request page with eligibility screening, match scores, one-click approvals, automated responses, and impact reporting.
The platform is used by nonprofits and schools across the United States, including PTAs, booster clubs, community organizations, and national charities. A free plan includes limited profile views and application tracking; paid plans (Plus, Pro, All Access) unlock the full in-kind and grant directories, filters, insights, outreach templates, and data export. TheShareWay is bootstrapped and based in San Francisco.
