Text in church allowed an entire team of connection volunteers to engage with our congregation through a single phone number. We could put that number in caller ID as the organization rather than individuals. Text in church is flexible enough to allow for sending and receiving both keyword automated messages and personal free form responses. Our congregation often felt uncomfortable before we had text in church, with braising their hands during services to receive our gift and information registration follow up card, and even so we often would not receive their information card back from them or it would be mostly incomplete. Text in church gave us an automated reply to send to those who text a keyword to the number. This would ask them to fill out a simple form through the in app browser with which we could gather more information. We often receive and are able to answer questions on this number as well!

I love that we can text our congregants easily and put them into groups. It’s been helpful with informing people when winter storms affect our services. I love the automations that can be set up to do work for you while you focus on other things.
