OutriggerPlan is crane lift-planning software for crane operators, lift supervisors, riggers and crane hire companies. Users build a to-scale 2D range chart and a 3D scene of the lift: choose from 822 crane models across 41 manufacturers and 12 crane types, set boom length, angle, jib, outriggers and counterweight, and add the load, rigging and site obstacles.
Capacity is checked against the customer’s own manufacturer load chart, entered manually, imported from CSV/XLSX, or extracted from a PDF with AI (beta) and reviewed before use. Lookups are conservative: no interpolation, and radius and boom length round up to the next charted value. Built-in checks cover capacity utilisation, rigging leg tension, ground bearing pressure, boom clearance and a lift-readiness checklist. Lift plans and range charts export to PDF, with company branding on Team plans.
OutriggerPlan works offline on Android, iOS, Windows and macOS, and in the browser, with cloud sync across devices. Team plans add shared crane fleets, projects and directories, with Owner, Admin, Reviewer, Planner and Supervisor roles. Available in 14 languages with metric and imperial units. A free plan is available.
OutriggerPlan is actively developed by a dedicated product team, with regular updates shaped by feedback from crane and rigging professionals. Users can reach the team directly through in-app chat and the OutriggerPlan Discord community.
OutriggerPlan is a planning aid and does not replace the manufacturer’s instructions or approval by a competent person.
