Temari.et is a school management system for Ethiopian schools from KG to Grade 12, made in Addis Ababa. Everyone at the school signs in to their own screens, on the web or in the Android app.
Directors and principals open a home screen showing who is absent today, which mark sheets are waiting for their approval, and how much has been collected and how much is still owed, for one branch or all of them.
Registrars register students and place them in sections. They also handle transfers and year-end promotion, and print transcripts and letters with a QR code that anyone can scan to check the paper is genuine.
Teachers take attendance, enter continuous assessment marks, set quizzes and assignments, and write lesson plans in the Ministry of Education format for the director or principal to approve.
In the finance office, fees are invoiced on the Ethiopian months, scholarships and sibling discounts are applied, and every recorded payment produces a receipt. HR and the storekeeper keep staff files, leave, payroll under Ethiopian tax and pension rules, stock and textbook lending on the same system.
Parents follow attendance, results and fees on their phone. Those without a smartphone get an SMS.
Dates follow the Ethiopian calendar and names follow the patronymic order. The government roster comes out in the bureau's format from the marks teachers already entered, so nobody copies marks onto a second sheet.
Temari.et is INSA certified and used by 19 schools, and each school has a named support person.
