SyntaxCue is desktop software that helps developers during technical interviews with AI-generated answer suggestions. It captures system audio during video calls (Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams — any platform, since it listens to system audio, not a specific app) without needing a bot to join the meeting. Audio is transcribed locally using whisper.cpp — nothing leaves the device at that stage. Suggestions are generated via the user's own OpenAI or Anthropic API key (bring-your-own-key): each request goes directly from the user's machine to their chosen provider, with no SyntaxCue backend in that path. Answers appear in a private hint window visible only to the user. SyntaxCue is a one-time purchase — $79, no subscription — for macOS and Windows.
