Sunworker is a marketplace that connects hospitality businesses with self-employed hospitality professionals for individual shifts. Restaurants, hotels, caterers, bars, canteens and event companies find verified freelance chefs, waiters, bartenders, pastry chefs, sommeliers and kitchen porters, who set their own rates and decide themselves which shifts to accept. Businesses search by location, role, date and verified qualifications, send a shift request and confirm once the professional accepts. Check-in and check-out record actual working time, billed to the minute including the night, Sunday and public-holiday surcharges set by the professional. Payment is collected per shift through Stripe and paid out after the business approves the hours; invoices are created automatically. Ratings are tied to completed shifts, and messaging, calendar sync and real-time updates are available on the web and in the iOS and Android apps. A separate module lets licensed staffing agencies manage their own workers, assignments and clients on the same platform.
