Sunsetless EWS is a .NET library that replaces Microsoft's EWS Managed API package (Microsoft.Exchange.WebServices). Exchange Online stops answering EWS on April 1, 2027. With Sunsetless EWS, your existing code keeps its EWS calls and they run on Microsoft Graph.
Switching means changing one NuGet package reference and setting four values: tenant ID, client ID, a client secret or certificate, and the license key. The namespace, types and methods stay the same, so the code compiles unchanged. The library runs inside your application and calls Graph through your own Entra app registration. Mail never passes through our servers. In a hybrid setup, calls for Exchange Online go to Graph and calls for on-premises Exchange stay on EWS.
We ran 186 scenarios through live EWS and through the library and compared the responses field by field. The compatibility page lists every difference we found, plus the things Graph cannot do at all, such as public folders and online archives. A free check on the site reads the EWS usage report from the Microsoft 365 admin center and shows how each operation in it is covered.
The package targets .NET Framework 4.8 and .NET Standard 2.0, so it also runs on .NET 8, 9 and 10. Apps built on the Microsoft.Exchange.WebServices.NETStandard port use the Sunsetless.Ews.NETStandard package.
A license is paid once and includes 12 months of updates. The 14-day trial key is free and needs no card.
