Spanstead Works is field service software for small service businesses that run crews, including landscaping and property care, cleaning, pest control, HVAC, plumbing and electrical, pool service, property management, and construction and remodeling. It keeps each job on one record, from the first estimate to the payment received. Office staff send estimates that customers approve online, schedule and dispatch work, and publish daily crew routes. Crews use the Spanstead Crew app to see assigned jobs, follow checklists, take photos, record their time and complete work, and the app keeps working without a signal. The office then invoices from what was recorded and collects payment through the business's own Stripe or Square account. Spanstead works in English and Spanish. A technician can work a full day in Spanish, and the job scope, crew notes and messages the office types are translated into each technician's language, with the original always one tap away. Estimates, invoices and photo reports go out in each customer's own language. Customers get their own portal to see their visits, photos and invoices. Job margin is measured against payments actually received, not invoices sent. Team plans add inventory, equipment and fleet records with printable QR asset tags. Spanstead is not accounting or payroll software. QuickBooks Online stays your ledger, and Spanstead syncs to it.
