SL-Urlaubsplaner is locally installed Windows software for leave and absence management in small and medium-sized businesses. In use since 2004, it is built for trades, medical practices, law and tax firms, care services, associations and any organization with up to 500 employees that wants vacation planning without monthly fees and without the cloud. Unlike cloud-based leave management tools, SL-Urlaubsplaner runs fully offline on a company PC or a network drive. No internet connection is required and no data is transferred to third parties, so no data processing agreement is needed under GDPR. Licensing is a one-time purchase per annual license instead of a SaaS subscription: up to 2 user accounts are permanently free and fully functional, larger teams pay once depending on the number of accounts (from EUR 28 for 20 accounts up to EUR 230 for 500 accounts, plus VAT). Key features: annual calendar with absence overview, custom absence codes (vacation, sick leave, home office, training), email-based leave request and approval workflow, company holiday management, optional time tracking, PDF reports, Excel export and ICS calendar export for Outlook and Google Calendar, plus a companion iOS app. Public holidays and school holidays for Germany (all 16 federal states), Austria and Switzerland are built in. A good fit for companies replacing Excel sheets or paper lists without committing to a subscription or a cloud service.
