Lumi by SmartScroll is an AI tutoring platform designed for students in grades six through twelve. The platform covers math, science, history, English, Spanish, and personal finance. Lumi guides students toward solutions instead of providing direct answers. The platform employs a hint ladder system that begins with guiding questions and progressively returns problem-solving steps to the student. Each session concludes with students explaining the concepts they have learned to reinforce understanding. Parents manage the accounts, which eliminates the need for students to create emails, passwords, or individual logins. Parents receive reports detailing skill development and session outcomes. The platform maintains privacy standards with no advertisements, messaging features, or data collection practices. A homework photo helper feature is available to explain reasoning while still encouraging students to complete the next steps independently.
