Great learning resource

|SitePoint Premium
The books that Sitepoint release are extremely well written and on topic. Online tutorials are great but sometimes nothing beats reading a book on the subject. You get to learn some of the theory as well as practical examples. Sitepoint covers a great range of web development topics.

A good site when you want to easily find how-too's that are a bit more involved

It has a lot of free educational videos that are very useful when you need a quick how-to or refresher on a particular website technology, and don't have the time to go dig through google looking for a general how-to. The site also gives me the confidence of knowing that the information I get is going to be correct and properly worded, rather than having to risk getting bad information which then adds to confusion later on while trying to find an error hidden upon bad commands that you think are correct. Overall, I think that anyone in web design should have an account for when something unexpected pops up.
