Select Star offers a highly detailed column/field-level lineage feature that enables precise tracking of data origins and transformations. This capability is particularly beneficial for data teams where analysts/engineers frequently edit tables and fields, as it helps track the potential impact of future changes on downstream processes. With the ability to integrate various visualization tools, Select Star offers the association of dashboards with tables in the data warehouse. This feature allows users to see exactly where each table field is used, down to the specific page of each dashboard.

The most helpful feature for my team has been the column-level lineage that gives us end-to-end visibility into our pipeline all the way from source to dashboards. What used to take us 20-30min to do, hopping between different apps, now takes less than 1min and we can do it all within just the Select star UI. This saves a ton of time and prevents a lot of mistakes!

It's a cost effective tool, evolving continuosly, which is already generating value for our company in terms of data discovery, root cause analysis, downstream impact and governance.
