Rostas is roster software for the person who has to fill the roster. Most volunteer rosters are built by hand in a spreadsheet, and most of the work isn't the building — it's everything after. Chasing availability. Noticing that the same three people are on every second week. Finding someone at 9pm on a Saturday because a name on the sheet can't make it after all. Rostas takes that on. You set up your roles, your dates and how often each volunteer is happy to serve. Rostas collects availability, then builds a roster that honours those limits and deliberately spreads the load — so willingness doesn't quietly become a burden. When someone can't make it, they tap once to say so. Rostas then asks the next-best available person, one at a time, by app notification or text message, and moves on to the next if they decline. No group texts, no phone tree, no coordinator sitting up working through a list. The roster updates itself and the coordinator is told what happened. Volunteers get a mobile app showing their upcoming duties, where they can set availability and respond to requests. Everyone else — the ones who won't install anything — still gets a text. Built for churches, sports clubs, community meal teams, school parent groups and anyone else who runs a roster of people who are giving their time rather than being paid for it. Made in New Zealand.
