Retail Media Intelligence
Retail Media Intelligence is a scan-activated retail media platform for physical retail. It turns the price checkers, kiosks, and customer assistance terminals already installed in stores into measurable contextual advertising inventory, without replacing hardware or requiring capital expenditure from the retailer.
When a shopper scans a product barcode at an in-store terminal, the platform queries the retailer's point-of-sale system in read-only mode and retrieves the price and product category. A real-time decision engine evaluates which active campaigns match that SKU or category, and the requested price and a contextual ad are delivered together in a single flow. Each scan is recorded as an auditable event, so impressions are tied to a specific store, campaign, SKU, and category rather than estimated from screen uptime.
Unlike digital signage, which plays looped content unrelated to the product a shopper is evaluating and offers no event-level measurement, Retail Media Intelligence serves an ad only in response to a real shopper action. A standby carousel maintains screen presence between scans and records those impressions separately.
Key capabilities:
- Campaign creation and management with targeting by product category and SKU
- Real-time decision engine for campaign selection at the moment of scan
- Event-level impression logging for analytics, reporting, and advertiser billing
- Multi-store and multi-country campaign distribution and control
- Reporting segmented by store, campaign, SKU, and category
- Read-only point-of-sale integration, with no write access to retailer systems
- Deployment via a secure Android APK on the retailer's existing terminals
- Revenue-share model between the platform and the retailer
Retail Media Intelligence is used by supermarket, hypermarket, convenience store, and department store chains across Latin America and the Caribbean, and is designed for trade marketing, retail media, IT, and store operations teams.
