PostGate is a WordPress paywall plugin designed for creators, independent publishers, educators, consultants, and businesses that sell access to digital content.
The plugin can protect an entire website, post types, categories, taxonomies, individual posts and pages, or specific Gutenberg blocks. Website owners can display content previews and offer one-time purchases or recurring subscriptions through the same paywall.
Payments are processed through Stripe-hosted Checkout. PostGate also provides login-only protection, role-based access, order management, subscription synchronization, sandbox testing, and configurable currency settings.
PostGate works directly inside WordPress and does not require WooCommerce or a separate membership platform. It is free to install, with a 5% platform fee charged only on successful transactions, in addition to Stripe processing fees.
