Pressria Bridge is a Windows desktop print-automation platform for print and custom-goods producers. It links an automated prepress pipeline to Adobe Illustrator, converting incoming order files into print-and-cut layouts and reducing manual prepress work.
The pipeline runs end to end: a hotfolder ingests incoming images, automatic background removal cleans them, kiss-cut and die-cut cut-lines are generated automatically, parts are nested with a hybrid Grid + True Shape Nesting (free-form nesting) engine, and the result is synced live into Adobe Illustrator over WebSocket.
Unlike single-function nesting utilities, Pressria Bridge covers the full workflow in one tool — automatic background removal, automatic cut-line generation, Sticker Sheet layout, and hotfolder + WebSocket automation. It is built for mid-tier, multi-SKU, small-batch producers running desktop cutters (Graphtec, Roland, Summa) at roughly 50–500 orders per day, sitting between costly enterprise RIP/imposition suites and basic single-purpose tools.
Core capabilities:
- True Shape Nesting (free-form) and rectangular sheet nesting with registration marks
- Automatic kiss-cut and die-cut cut-line generation using spot-color cut standards
- Automatic background removal for image-based sticker input
- Sticker Sheet generation (kiss-cut / die-cut, grid layout, L-corner registration marks)
- Hotfolder input with live Adobe Illustrator sync over WebSocket
- Preprocessing that splits grouped Illustrator designs into individual files
